This week we will be focusing on how to find the most important information in a reading and be able to share it in our own words. We have had a of practice at this during the year and we want to be able to see how far we have come in being able to write in our own words.

For our topic Musical Madness this term we will be looking at percussion instruments. We will have a large focus this week on the drums and their origin and how they work. We will look at the different types of drums there and and what sorts of different sounds they have.

Welcome to Term 4, we are getting close to testing time so we will be spending the next few weeks practicing our comprehension and also learning key elements of texts that are important. This week we will be focusing a lot on poems and what elements there are in a poem that are important.

Activities:

This week you need to make sure that you are reading all of the readings carefully and finding the right answers to the questions. Make sure that you reread the text to find the answer as all of the answers will be in the text.
