Who am I?- Recount

Walt: to strengthen our recount writing skills from a class experience

Instructions:

As a class we will complete the game who am I? We will then complete a recount writing piece around this. You will need to listen carefully to the instructions. I will give you the instruction and then you will have 5 minutes to have turns with your partner about guessing who you are. We will then create a recount from this activity

Your recount must include:

    • It must be in the past tense.

    • Must be in a logical order - meaning that you cannot start taking about the end and then jump to the beginning and then the middle. It must be logical and in the order that it happened.

    • You should have correct spelling and grammar.

    • Your recount should not only tell the reader what happened but show them through the use of your words.

We also want our blurbs to flow. We do this by:

Using a variety of sentences! Make sure you start your sentences in different ways.
