Focus:
Ngā mihi o Matariki! Happy Matariki! Following on from our Matariki/ Māori New Year celebration last Friday, we are going to be exploring the stars and the important role they played in navigation for Pasifika and Māori voyagers.
'Navigation' is our final mini focus for this term! We are going to be exploring a range of technologies used for navigation, and creating our own DLOs to share our learning.

3. Learn about a number of different navigational technologies.

We are now into our second mini focus for the term. We are now inquiring into transport and travel. In particular, we are finding out about technology used by Māori to travel around Aotearoa and beyond. This week, we are looking into boat technology which has been, and continues to be used by people from around the world.
