Make sure to use your who, what, were, when and how in your writing. Expand on your ideas and allow the writer to see what is going on rather than just telling them. You can pick any planet, star or moon to go and visit but remember which planets are okay for us to visit! You will need to log you trip to space. You will need a minimum of three journal entries about your time travelling. Guardians of the Galaxy- Narrative Writing
Walt: create a narrative piece of writing
Earlier in the year we learnt about Kaitīakitanga i nga wā kātoa, being guardians of everything around us. Now we are exploring being Guardians of the Galaxy. What adventures will there be as we search for new planets in the galaxy? What kind of planet is there to be found? Can a spaceship land there? Can people live there?
What kind of story will you tell? Myth, legend, adventure, sci-fi? Whatever kind of story, there is always a problem to be sorted out by the main characters. There is a template to help you decide on your characters and setting. We will talk about this together.
When you have finished, read your story carefully. Does it make sense? Do your sentences have different beginnings? Have you checked your punctuation?
