Father Lonjiku, Wife Li (Deceased, suicide 5 years ago), Daughter Ameiko (owner Rusty Dragon Inn), Son Tsuko (blamed father for mother's death, left town. Chopper's Isle: Once home to the eccentric artist Jarvis Stoot who became the serial killer known as The Chopper

The Rusty Dragon: Best tavern and inn in town. Run by Ameiko Kaijitsu who seems to be a talented cook and singer. She rarely misses an opportunity to bad-mouth Cyrdak Drokkus and his theater but no one is sure what their beef is.

Fatman's Feedbag: Roughest bar in town. Rumored to be headquarters of the local Scarzni crime family.

Turandarok Academy: Run by retired adventurer Ilsoari Gandethus, the Academy is the only thing approaching a school in town. Those with a bit of money send their kids to the Academy. Rumor has it that the Academy has a hidden basement and even more rumors swirl around what Ilsoari is keeping down there.

Magnimar: This overly-lawful metropolis is a couple days travel from Sandpoint. People passing through Sandpoint  are usually headed here. Many of Sandpoint's citizens are folks who left the overly crowded, overly bureaucratic city.

Turtleback Ferry: To the North, the only  other village in the region worthy of mentioning. On the edge of the wilderness.

Things

The Late Unpleasantness: About 5 years ago, Sandpoint had a remarkable run of bad luck. A well respected artist went mad and became the serial killer known as The Chopper. He claimed 25 victims before being caught. Li Kaijitsu, beloved matriarch of the family, committed suicide. The Sandpoint Chapel burned down taking 4 other buildings with it as well as taking the life of the priest Ezakien Tobyn and his adopted daughter Nualia.

Scarzni: Sandpoint's access by boat, sea caves, and nearness to Magnimar make it a great place for smugglers and other scoudrels to operate. The Scarzni crime family is rumored to be very active in Sandpoint.

Thassilon: A long gone, ancient civilization known for it's powerful magic. Artifacts, relics, ruins, and other remnants dot the countryside

1/12/23: During the Swallowtail Festival, goblins attack the city of Sandpoint. Tam's mud wall and Tarvon dropping a beehive are highlights of the thwarted attack.

1/19/23: The battle continues as the PCs rescue Arden Foxglove from a group of goblins.

1/26/23: That evening, Brianna stars in a performance of Lover's Lament opposite the famed Magnimar actress Allishandra. Brianna gives a stunning performance. Deno's date with Shayliss Vinder is interrupted by Tarvon pelting Deno with a tomato.

2/9/23: The play after party for the town VIPs is at The White Fawn. Briana attempts to smooth things over with Alisandre. Devon's date with Shaylis ends with her father nearly assaulting him. The rest of the party breaks into the party and engages in shenanigans.

2/16 - 2/23/23: Ameiko Kaijitsu is missing. The PCs go to the various places she might be. When she's not at the family home, they go to the Glassworks where they find goblins mutilating the workers they have killed. Dispatching them, they find more goblins in the basement along with Tsuto Kaijitsu, Ameiko's estranged half-brother. He is captured and Ameiko is rescued. Tsuto confesses to working for a "mistress" who is working with the goblins to destory Sandpoint.

3/2/23: From the basement, the PCs discover old smuggler tunnels. Investigating these, they find a dungeon that seems dedicated to Azailanst, the Runelord of Wrath. They defeat a quasit that called the place home and defeat a mess of Sinspawn that the quasity apparently summoned from some sort of mystical well.

5/4/23 and 5/11/23: The PCs make their way to Thistletop, quietly infiltrate the briars dealing with some goblins, and then into the fort where they not-quietly bring a shitstorm of goblins down on top of them. It's a massive fight, but they emerge victorious.

5/18 - 5/25/23: Into the lower levels of Thistletop where they defeat the minions of the BBEG and eventually BBEG herself - Nualia, a former Sandpoint resident with a burning hatred for the town and all it's citizens. Also a cleric of Lamashtu.

6/1/23: PCs are heroes of Sandpoint having eliminated the goblin hoard yet many folks seem to still be on edge: Vin Vinder continues raging at anyone who looks at him cross-eyed, a guard from Magnimar attacks some Scarzni residents. The PCs are tasked with delivering Tsuto, Nualia's assistant, to Judge Ironbriar in Magnimar.

6/8/23: They turn over Tsuto to the Judge. Learning about a string of murders in Magnimar, the PCs decide to investigate a mystery the GM didn't mean for them to pursue. They find some clues, but don't get any farther.

6/15/23: On the return to Sandpoint, they discover a body in the forest with the same markings as the Magnimar killings. Previous and new clues have them leaning to the idea that the killer might be a noble. They go to the dilapidated home of Lord Aldern Foxglove. When they receive no answer at the door, they decide a "wellness check" is in order and enter.

?: They have a long slog through the haunted house, kind of learning the Foxglove history, and eventually have a showdown with Aldern in the basement who has turned into a ghoul. They learn of something called the Brotherhood of the Seven that Aldern was a member of and that their HQ is in Magnimar.

?: In Magnimar, they investigate Aldern's manor, battle some dopplegangers posing as Aldern, and run afoul of local law. Things go sideways while being questioned and they attack the guards. Now fugitives, they flee into the city to continue the hunt for the Brothers of the Seven. Tsuto and a golem track them down and attack. Tsuto, who was supposed to be in jail, manages to escape.

?: They find the HQ and wait for a meeting of the Seven.  Using the Hat of Disguise and Skinsaw cloaks, they pose as fellow members and kill the Seven one by one. The final suprise being that Lord Ironbriar and Allishandra were both members. Though captured, they rule them guilty of the murders in Magnimar and hang them in the sawmill.

?: They've learned that a woman named Xanesha is behind the Seven during more evil than they were before. All fingers point to Lord Ironbriar's lover - Lady Xander. They attack Ironbriar's home, but Xanesha manages to escape.

?: Using some messaging ravens, they track Xanesha down to a clock tower under the Irespan. A running battle ensues with the PCs trying to scale the broken stairs of the clock tower while Tsuto and Xanesha rain arrows down on them. The PCs eventually prevail and the Skinsaw Murders have ended.

? Returning to Sandpoint, they find that the rage issues continue. Vin Vander has killed his daughter in a fit of rage. The PCs realize the runewell is still active below town and that it's connected to the Runelord of Wrath. They close it down and life returns to slightly more normal times in Sandpoint. Deno renounces his role in the guard to become a monk.

October-ish: Deno receives a missive from his father requesting his assistance in Turtleback Ferry regarding some the townspeople sporting the Sihedron tattoos and some strange goings on. A boat of gamblers sank in the harbor. The PCs investigate the mysterious owner - Lucretia. Finding incriminating evidence, they attack but Lucrecia manages to teleport away.

?: Deno's father has gone missing. Exploring in the swamp, they find dad's dryad lover -- now a ghost murdered by a gang of ogres. Calming the evil spirit, they learn that dad survived the attack and was carried off by the ogres. Following the tracks, they arrive at Fort Rannick and discover it now under the control of a group of ogres.

December-ish: Sneaking in through the lower levels, they run into Lucretia once again who once again teleports away. They rescue dad and some Black Arrows from the cells. The PCs fight their way through the fort dispatching all the  ogres and reclaiming Fort Rannick.

1/18/24: They return to Turtleback Ferry in time for a massive flood to hit the town. They rescue many townsfolk and become heroes to yet another village. Suspecting the dam at Skull's Crossing to maybe be in trouble, they go to investigate. A massive fight with an ettin and then ogre reinforcements. Sure enough, it appears the dam is faulty.

1/25/24: Venturing into the damn, they dispatch some random trolls, a water troll leader, and then a construct guarding a dam replica. After much head scratching, they discover that the two pit fiends magically power the damn, but one has been reduced to ash. Brianna sacrifices some vigor to power the damn and lessen the chance of it failing. Kristoff quickly repairs the grievous vigor damage.

2/1/24: Now to deal with the stone giants smithing away in the mountains the Black Arrows told them about. Tavel masterfully creates a distraction at the entrance but then blows a stealth roll. Massive fight with ogres inside. Sneaking in, they bypass a trap only to have Deno crit fails while inspecting some zombie hill giants, thus setting off the alarm they bypassed. Long running battle ensues where they finally dispatch Lucrecia, lots of ogres, and a couple stone giants. The stone giant leader surrenders and tells them of Lord Mokmurian amassing a stone giant army to attack Varisia. More urgently, they learn the first assault force is already on their way ---- to Sandpoint!

2/8/24: The PCs make all haste to return to Sandpoint to prepare for the giant attack. Deno spends five days building defenses only for it all to fall down after one testing kick from his dad. GM explains the convuluted spotlight battle/mass battle/npc as bennies system finishing just in time for the giant attack. A group of stone giants is barraging the front gate with boulders -- Tavel unluckily catches one of the wild throws and is nearly killed. Deno, on horseback, rides out to deal with the giants and is surrounded. His father, Perovel Cole, rides in just in time to save him. "Use your damn sword," Dad calls out before riding off into the forest chasing a lone giant. Perovel does not return.

2/15/24 - 3/7/24: The PCs put an end to the giant attack on  Sandpoint but have to let the giant leader leave as they were too wounded. After recovering, they track down the giants that abducted townsfolk and rescue them. They know that the giants' ultimate leader is Lord Mokmurian who resides on the Storval Plateau. Using Kristoff's teleportation, they get to the platuea before the giant leader, kill him, and rescue Perovel. Continuing to the Black Tower, they discover a army of giants and an imposing Thassalonian Black Tower.

3/14/24: Looking  for a backway into the Black Tower, the PCs find a wyvern cave. TPK.
