Intro

The Adventurer's Club (OK, that's a weak name, need something better) is a true meritocracy. Welcome are all men (or ladies) of action, people of any race if they have gumption to get things done, and all who have a can-do spirit. They gather together at the club to discuss their grand accomplishments and challenge each other to even greater heights.

This well of exceedingly capable individuals has drawn the attention of many organizations - museums, universities, governments, or just wealthy benefactors - who sponsor members of the club on their grand adventures - funding safaris deep into Africa, cartography journeys through the Amazon, or archaeological investigations of lost treasures.

Setting

1936 Boston. In the US, the good ole days of the Roaring 20s are gone replaced with the Great Depression, but things are starting to look up with FDR as president. Hitler and the Nazis are on the rise in Europe, Emperor Hirohito is consolidating power in Japan, while China suffers a massive famine.

Setting Specific Rules

Acting Bad is Bad: Pulp heroes are Heroes. Evil and/or cowardly actions are penalized.

Rule of Cool: Pulp is all about doing cool, action-y things. PCs that attempt cool, perhaps sub-obtimal, actions can gain a Fate chip. (Shoot the gun from the bad guy's hand rather than just shooting him).

Cap the Extras: You can use multiple stress boxes when taking damage from any no-name bad guy.

Rapid Recovery: Any consequence is moved down to the next lower consequence at the end of each act (one act might be 2-4 scenes).

Never Ending Ammo: You never run out of ammo

No Stinkin' Badges: Police rarely interfere in the actions of Pulp PCs

Just Go With It: The pulp genre sometimes requires the PCs to be screwed - a villain automatically escapes, the PCs get captured no matter what, PCs are forced to surrender, etc. You get a fate chip if you're not a whiny bitch about it.

Multiple Languages: You know 2 languages + a number of other languages equal to your Lore.

Previous Adventures

* The PCs foil a wealthy industrialist intent on nerve gassing all of Washington, DC. They do this by crashing his blimp into the White House lawn.

* PCs rescue an archaeologist and his daughter from a group of Nazis in Crete. PCs escape the labyrinth, defeat the minotaur, and recover Daedalus' notebook from the Nazis.

* PCs undercover a secret spider god cult operating in the US, eventually traveling deep into the Mexico jungle to defeat the spider god and rescue captured archaeologists.

* The PCs work to discover the mystery of the Knights Templar at the same time keeping the secrets safe from Hitler's goose-stepping artifact hunters.

* The PCs foil an immortal Chinese wizard's attempt to unite three artifacts that would restore him to the zenith of his ancient power.

* Sky Pirates are stopping trade in the Caribbean. PCs are hired to put an end to it, journeying to a secret Arizona prison, Havana, an Argentina monastery. Boston, and finally a floating Nazi airstrip.

* Paladium Peril sends the PCs to recover the mystique Palladium statue - a gift from Zeus that legend says no city can be defeated as long as they have it. After rescuing Professor Blumenthal from the Nazis while in London, the PCs fight it out in the Coliseum in Rome, scuffle with assassins in a Turkish bath, plunder a tomb, and eventually obtain the Palladium from a mystic trap beneath Vienna.

* Terror of the Z-Bomb: Dr Schmutzig launches an attack on NYC as a distraction to capture a scientist for his new magnetic implosion bomb. PCs go to Paris and the Foiles Bergere to save another scientist which leads them to Schmutzig's research castle in Germany. They learn of Schmutzig's Antarctic base, fight Nazi Yetis, kill Schmutzig, and escape as the base explodes.

Old Savage Worlds Rules

Alternate Chase Rules, Boost/Lower is +1/+2 rather than die change (makes things easier in Roll20 that way), Bluffing and detecting bluffs is the Streetwise skill, not Notice. Skill Challenge rules
