Step 4 - Directions

First, look at the examples of excellent work below!

Then, under the images, there are directions to get started.

  1. Find and save images using the internet. Make sure they relate to your theme and you are following the guidelines you learned about!
  2. Open both the background image you chose and the template you saved in PhotoShop.
  3. Drag your image into the template using the Move Tool.
  4. USE SAVE AS - give it your name + STAMP TERM PROJECT
  5. Change the Layer Order so that the Postage Stamp Template layer is the TOP layer, and covers the others. Make sure that you can't see edges of the under layers sticking out from the outer edges.
  6. Cut out and drag your other images into the stamp. Make sure that you are using the correct tools to make a seamless arrangement of the images!
  7. Use all that you know: OPACITY, FREE TRANSFORM, LASSO TOOL, MAGIC WAND and anything else you have learned!
  8. Add text using the Text tool. Look back at the real stamps again to see how the text is positioned.
  9. Save as a JPEG!
