For this project, you will use visual textures from nature in a digital collage to be created in Adobe Photoshop. You will explore a variety of tools in Adobe Photoshop and the Elements of Art.
This is a sample "Dream Landscape" made from visual textures cut out from saved images from the internet. Remember, you should not cut out clouds but cut out cloud SHAPES from textures that are cloud-like.
Follow the steps to complete the project.
The collage will be created in Adobe Photoshop using images of textures gathered form the Internet.
You will create a "Dream Landscape" using your imagination.
The project goals for the Dream Landscape are:
- Have 3 layers of land
- Use Textures to cut out Shapes - found on the Internet – BUT they cannot be used as they are in reality - for instance, grass textures for grass...)
Show the Element of Art Space, using artist techniques:
- Horizon Line
- Overlapping Objects
- Objects get smaller as they are farther away
- Color and Value change – lighter and grayer
Perspective:
- Aerial Perspective has layers of land: foreground, middle ground and background and a sky
- Linear Perspective has lines that all lead to a vanishing point
