Photograph #2 - Fast Shutter or freeze action 1/250 or faster.
1. Set shutter for a slow speed such as 1/250 or higher by rotating the selector dial. Look for the shutter speed on the lower left of your viewing screen.
2. Set up a situation where you will freeze the action by tossing a ball, jumping, etc.
3. Check the exposure by holding the shutter button halfway and look at the screen
You can adjust the exposure 2 ways (see NOTES on last page):
4. Be aware of shutter lag: the time after you press the shutter button before the shutter actually opens. If you want to freeze the action, you must take your picture slightly before the the point you wish to capture. Practice will teach you!
