5 - Organize!

1. Take notes on loose leaf paper - one side of the sheet should answer the questions about the life in assignment, the other should answer the questions about the art.

2. Use the organizer to outline your essay OR presentation. If you have lost it, download it from the attachments below.

3. ESSAY ONLY:

Then use the organizer to write a rough draft. The final essay should be 4-5 paragraphs. It should

include:

  • Introduction
    • This should be formed after you have researched. It is the main idea of the essay and a way to grab the reader.
  • The LIFE of the artist, answering ALL questions in the assignment.
  • The ART, answering questions in the assignment.
  • Conclusion - This summarizes your main ideas and expresses your opinion. It should be formed AFTER the research is done!

4. The ARTWORKS - Insert 3 images by the artist into a NEW page (essay) or separate slides (presentation). Make sure that you have the required info - TITLE, DATE CREATED, MEDIUM - and that they are HIGH RESOLUTION.
