First Thing:  

        - Grab your Chromebook - DON'T log on.

        - You will need your Outsiders Book for the second half.

        -  Turn in your Jamestown comic-- Put in the appropriate drawer in the front of the room.  

        - Prepare to chill.

Agenda:

        - Chill Time

        - Outsiders Essay - Choosing a Topic

        - Colonial Geography - A Map

        Homework:  Outsiders Essay - Plan your 1st paragraph.

Today, you will...   

        - Choose a literary essay topic and isolate the relevant textual evidence for that topic.  

        - Write a literary essay thesis statement and plan your opening paragraph.  

        - Discover & understand how the geography of North America (and the people who settled there) influenced the IDENTITY of the colonies that would eventually become the United States.
