        - Read To Kill a Mockingbird in order to develop and understanding of its plot, characters, symbols, and themes.

        - Learn how the government (the Constitution) of the United States of America was formed, how the power of that government is divided and balanced, and more specifically, how the Supreme Court functions within our democracy.
