First Thing:  

        - Get out a blank sheet of paper and a pencil.

        - Grab your Chromebook - DON'T log on.

        - Ask Mr. Brown about the greatest "manny" he ever had.

        - Make sure you have Outsiders annotation stuff.

Agenda:  

        - Tic-Tac-Tournament

        - EAST/WEST?

        - Mental Maps - Wrap Up.

        - Outsiders Annotation - Chapters 4 & 5

        - The Annotation Twist

        Homework:  - Annotate Chapter 6 in Outsiders??? 

Today, you will...   

        - Analyze the literary elements of The Outsiders and synthesize the relationships between its characters, themes, and symbols.  

        - Revisit what you already know about the geography of the United States and how it relates to Native American history.
