Speak Book (Optional):
We will be reading and annotating Speak, by Laurie Halse Anderson during 2nd Quarter in Humanities. Buying your own copy is not a requirement, but it does make the annotation process more convenient and genuine for students. You can buy a copy at any bookstore or online.
Getting the Right Copy
If you are buying at a bookstore, you can check to make sure you have the right copy by turning to page 10. The first words on the page should be "South-facing windows." Here is the amazon page to the correct copy.
Annotation Tabs (Required):
Each student will be responsible for buying annotation tabs. A minimum of FIVE different colors will be required. Students may choose their colors and type of tab. Sanders' isn't picky. It would be a good idea to buy 2 or 3 packs to start with.
