        - Get out your Outsiders annotation stuff.

        - It's National Heroes' Day - say "thanks" to Mr. Crandall 

          if you ever catch a glimpse of him in the hallway.

        - Open your Inside the Outsiders assignment.

Today, you will...   

        - Develop an understanding of the history and culture related to the novel, The Outsiders. 

        - Learn how and why we will annotate for a variety of literary elements as a way of analyzing The Outsiders.  

        - Analyze the relationship between geography and the identity of a place or region.
