Artist Study- Study the work of Margaret Preston. Have opportunity to explore modern and traditional artists using ICT and other resources.
Getting technical- Learn about how to block print. Block printing - also called relief printing - is the process of carving patterns, shapes and designs into a 'block'. The block could be made of wood, acrylic, plastic sheet, lino (linoleum) or metal.
Imitate the artist- Imitate the work of Margart Preson by following a teacher-led tutorial to block print one of her designs.
Become the artist- Create a block print with the same or a different block material inspired by Margaret Preston. The design could be linked to the current topic.
Evaluate- Evaluate the final piece.
Photography : take and manipulate images digitally. Combine a selection of images using digital technology considering colour, size and rotation.
Take a photograph and then use technology to adapt and alter the tone, shape or size of the image.
Use tracing paper or transparency paper, place it on the ipad and trace around the key details of the final image.
