Exploration
Artist Study- Study the work of Andy Goldsworthy.
Getting technical- Learn about the potential properties of the visual elements, line, tone, pattern, texture, colour and shape.
Imitate the artist- Imitate the work of Andy Goldsworthy by creating one of his pieces of land art in the school grounds.
Become the artist- Create some physical land art outside (forest school) and then leave it to study the changes and impact on the land.
Evaluate- Evaluate the final piece.
Artist Study- Study the work of Vincent Van Gogh.
Getting technical- Learn media and materials used in landscape paintings.
Imitate the artist- Imitate the work of Vincent Van Gogh by following a teacher-led tutorial on how to draw one of his landscapes.
Become the artist- Create a landscape painting of the local area, demonstrating a secure knowledge about primary and secondary, warm and cold, complementary and contrasting colours.
Evaluate- Evaluate the final piece.
Artist Study- Study the work of Banksy.
Getting technical- Learn about the artwork in relation to British Values and study the meaning and messages shared through Banksy's work . Explore different street art examples from around the world and identify similarities, differences, likes and interests.
Imitate the artist- Imitate the work of Banksy by creating a spray painting with their own message on a 'wall' outside the classroom. Explore different topical issues and create symbols to represent each. These will be transferred onto card and cut out to make stencils. Using the stencil, chosen media and colour, create a section of a whole class mural.
Evaluate- Evaluate the final piece.

Scan an image or take digital photographs and use software to alter them, adapt them and create work with meaning.
Compose a photo with thought for textural qualities, light and shade.
Use IT art programs on the chrome books or I pads to create an image showing skills of shading, tone and depth.
