In terms 3 and 4 we will be building on the skills the children have already developed and supporting them to:

• Create collaboratively, sharing ideas, resources and skills.

Children will have the opportunity to create with materials during child initiated time, developing the skills to create collaboratively, sharing ideas, resources and skills. The teaching staff will model and support this skill. This will be further enhanced with building castles through junk modelling which will also enhance their learning on castles and knights.

In terms 3 and 4 we will be building on the skills the children have already developed and supporting them to:

• Develop storylines in their pretend play.

• Sing in a group or on their own, increasingly matching the pitch and following the melody.

• Explore and engage in music making and dance, performing solo or in groups.

Children will continue following the Music Scheme Charanga. Through this learning children will learn to sing in a group or on their own, increasingly matching the pitch and following the melody, explore and engage in music making and dance, performing solo or in groups. As children have become more settled and developed in their prime areas, they will become more developed in their storylines in their pretend play. Our home corner will resourced to support their interests and to extend their learning.
