Unit 3: Someone of Something Else's Story

Promotional Video Genre: to contribue to the progress or growth of the certain group, company, or idea. This is different than a Public Service Announcement, which usually is one message in 30 seconds or less. A promotional video can be up to 3 minutes or longer, and typically encompasses a script, interviews, lots of B-rolls, and music.

A Promotional Video highlights the theme or themes of your subject. It informs the audience:

  • What is ________ and what is its purpose?
  • Why is it important and what it offers to others?
  • Examples of its importance shown through script, interviews and lots and lots of BRoll (video images supporting the interview and scripts).
