The Bahay Leadership Team consists of 13 enthusiastic Year 12s. Our main goal (other than winning the house cup) is to ensure that everyone in the Bahay community feels included and heard, celebrating our achievements during assemblies and posting our interhouse results on Instagram. We’ve won the house cup during the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years and we plan to continue being reigning champions! Participation is key! Don't forget to follow our Instagram @bahaybears where we give regular Bahay updates! GOOOOO BAHAY! 🐻💛

House Council Initiative

Taster Videos for (I)GCSE → We plan to help make taster videos for high demand (I)GCSE subjects to help students get a good understanding and overview of the subject(s) they are interested in and will also help students not regret their subject choices. It will include heads of faculty, leading teachers and student experiences with students currently taking the subjects talking about their view on the subject.

Y11 Shadowing Programme → A chance for Y11 students to shadow the different departments in the house leadership teams through a weekly rotation for hands-on involvement, and so they can grasp a better idea of what role may suit them when it’s their time to be part of the leadership teams in Year 12.

VLE Assessment Calendar → One of our key tasks is to ensure that the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) assessment calendar is accurately updated, initially focusing on older year groups and also subsequently expanding the assessment calendar to younger years. This initiative aims to provide students with clear and updated information on assessments, promoting better organisation and planning.
