What do we aim to do?
Established in 1987, our council aims to help the Mother’s Choice charity to raise awareness of the severe issue regarding children spending years in care without being reunited with or joining a loving, safe and permanent family. We also aim to bring out the discussion of how our collective voices can make a difference in the community, such as reducing the vicious cycle that ends up with an increasing number of children ending up in government care and separated from their families.
What initiatives do we work on?
Project #1- Importance of children living in a permanent home
Project #2- Up weigh Mother’s Choice’s presence on social media
What impact do we make?
By spreading awareness of the charity Mother’s Choice, we help destigmatize and increase our understanding of the importance of adoptive and foster care, rehoming and crisis pregnancies through initiatives in the school.
