0. Creation of reports in Microsoft Word
Copy and paste the heading from the web page for that learning outcome

For most small reports, you only need 3-5 really good sentences to explain something. Below is a good example of how 'write' a report.
When Explaining something, remember the acronym SEXY
Statement (one sentence, maybe two)
Explain in two or more sentences
Give two or more eXamples
Summarise and give the whY
A shared folder will be created for you that only you have access to.
2. Please create 6 folders, one representing each of the 6 units where you will upload your work and name them as in the screenshot on the right. It doesn't matter on the colours, you choose!
Within each folder, you will have one Word document with that unit's learning outcomes.
3. Name your files with the Unit Number and Full Name
4. Within your reports, regardless of theory or practical work, ensure the Unit number and Learning Outcomes that you have combined together are clearly labelled and bolded at the top of the page along with your full name and date of when this work was created. This will imply that your work is an original summary of the learning outcome and at no point there was any plagiarising.
5. Your tutor will give you feedback, ideally in Microsoft Word through the use of constructive comments on content and spelling and grammar, as this would be important in a place of work. Please complete the work in a timely manner. The use of 'Commenting' in Microsoft Word allows you to click on either the word that was highlighted before the comment was created or the speech bubbled on the right-hand side, if the sizing of the page is such that it does not display it.
6. If your tutor is happy with work that was fixed, they will resolve the thread, hiding it. It shows with a checkmark on top of the speech bubble.
7. If you click on the speech bubble with the checkmark it will reveal the comment on the right-hand side and show it has been Resolved.
8. If either Learner or Tutor wishes to reopen the thread to adjust a comment, press the Reopen icon
0. There is an alternative to creating reports in Microsoft Word.
You can arrange to have a professional discussion with your Tutor, either in the Newquay or Weymouth Centres or through Microsoft Teams.
Your tutor will ensure you understand the material
Get you to make notes to show during the recording
Introduce themselves and you
Then you speak
There is no end of Unit test. You submit a portfolio of work and that's your evidence.
The most important thing we ask you when creating reports, is that the work is your own. If you've used the internet for research, you must summarise text in your own words.
Go to this page: Stream | Microsoft 365
Find your file named Firstname - U__-LO__ Short Learning Outcome (e.g. Chris - U02 - LO 1.1 Network Architecture)
Open it (in Stream) and double-check that I named the right file (check the Transcript and that only one person, you has your video on)
(Top-right) click on the Red Share button
Select Copy Link
Open the Word document and go to the specific Learning Outcome
Ensure you have the words Professional Discussion on that section
Highlight the words Professional Discussion
Touch Ctrl + K on the keyboard
Ctrl + V to paste the URL to that video
Close the file and do it again
