What do I bring?
Positivity
What did I make a picture of?
Dianthus caryophyllus flower
What does it represent? Explain what your image represents to you?
While attending York College I have discovered that I bring love,
positivity, strength and peace. I show my positivity by always coming into
school with the best attitude. If I see someone is having a bad day I love to
cheer them up and find ways to make them happy. Positivity goes a long
way while in college. I wanted to find a symbol from the outdoors since I
am very passionate about plants. A flower starts off as a seed in the ground
and sprouts up as a root. The adult plant produces the flowers while the
plant matures. This shows what I bring to york college because of the fresh
start of being an incoming freshman. I have had bad days and I have good
days but showing my resources of positivity has caused me to show the
righteousness of being positive and calm.
Being a first generation college student has shown me the importance of
being positive. At only 15 I lost my dad. It was very unexpected. While this
was a very grief moment in my life it showed me how to be strong and very
independent. I learned how to prosper on my own just as a flower does
when it starts the growing process. I learned how to be strong and heal
from the unexpected loss him. I am very appreciative of the memories I
have experienced with my father. I love that he taught me the acceptance
of everyone and everything. This has given me a positive attitude with not
only myself but with my peers.
I hope you enjoy reading about what I bring to York College!
