What do I bring Adaptation and Compassion What I took a picture of Shoes Description
As Forest Gump once said "Mama always said there's an awful lot you could tell about a person by their shoes"
In class, we have been learning about positive psychology and how it will help us in our careers and life overall. Part of that positive psychology is understanding what we as individuals bring to York College of Pennsylvania to bring strength and diversity to our community. In class we took the VIA assessment to see our character strengths, mine were kindness, fairness, and honesty.
For my project, I choose to take a picture of my shoes. I took a picture of my shoes cause they represent the various roles I play within my community and the compassion I pride myself on that I bring with me everywhere I go, no matter what pair of shoes I wear. Growing up and being raised by a single mom I constantly had to watch her fill many
shoes' in raising me but with each pair, she had to fill she always smiled and gave it all
en if no one was watching. Growing up watching my mom do this inspired me to give everything my best effort even if it was not my responsibility. One of the ways I ensure my effort is felt by other people is kindness and making sure everyone knows they are valued in every role I fill.
So as I grow as a member of the York College of Pennsylvania community I inspire to let all our community members know they are valued and cared for throughout the various shoes I fill around the campus.
