What do I bring to York college?
I bring growth
What did I take a picture of?
A tree
What it represents to me
When I think of growth, I imagine a tree that has a lot of leaves on it. I think there's a lot of things that can represent growth, But the reason I choose a tree is because everyone would love to see a tree that is filled all the way around with no gaps of missing leaves, but because there's a lot of leaves that fall there's a couple gaps in the tree, but even though leaves fall, the tree still has other leaves to make it beautiful. So what I do is I include it in my point of view as the tree represents someone, and the leaves are the challenges that will cause struggle in whatever goal you are trying to achieve.
How do I bring growth to York college?
The reason i bring growth to york college is because as being a student that struggled in my classes no matter what i did or how much i studied i had to constantly worry about if i was going to make it to college because of my test scores, my GPA, etc.i have realized as i matured that i have to try different strategies, because constantly comparing myself to others and trying to do the same exact thing as them, which didn't help me because it worked for them NOT me, i needed to realize that i have to do what works for me and even with that being different the outcome is still the same as who i compared it to. This relates to the tree because even though the tree has a lot of fallen leaves the tree continues to grow more. During the time i have figured out what works best for me i have continued to do it, and doing that i have still achieved what my main goal which was to attend york college. Growth to me means something special, you feel accomplishment of achieving your goal because of the growth you made. If you struggle with something, ask for help or help yourself find ways to grow. This is my story behind the image thank you for reading
