Judgement

We all have a brief idea of what we think can best describe ourselves as objects.

The tracks, the chess piece, and the weather in this captured moment have a deeper meaning.

What I bring to York college are preconceptions and judgment. Chess is a big judgment-related

game, which requires me to anticipate my opponent's next moves, even though this could come

with a lot of overthinking. I use chess-related solutions in my conversations with others. Having

an idea of what you could say around what group of people helps you get an idea of what you

can talk to them about. Like train tracks, the path we all take... Though we may all take different

paths, it’s funny how we meet each other and get along. Connecting this all and making the

piece itself more relevant is what it stands for me. Moving around a lot as a kid has introduced

me to all kinds of people and different cultures. Understanding people's emotions and struggles

can strengthen bonds not being prejudiced help you grow as a person.
