What do I bring?
Strength and Improvement
What did I make a picture of?
Hammer and Nails
What does the picture represent?
To me a Hammer represents strength and it is an essential building tool. A tool that can build scrap wood into a house. I feel that there has to be nails in order for something to be built. A hammer does not have a purpose unless there are nails. I am the hammer that has to overcome my everyday struggles being a first generation college student. Using my struggles in order to succeed is a motive to me. The nails are my support, such as my family and friends, and I want to make them proud no matter what I do. My original plan for this project was to take a picture of these small Aztec eagle warriors sculptures that still represent strength and improvement, but I could not get them to focus and changed my idea to a hammer and nails. The warrior to me represents strength. Being the first person in my family going to college I feel that I have a burden. Also the Aztec warriors represent my culture since my family is from Mexico. The Eagles warriors were the highest ranking warriors in ancient Mexico. They were the first line of defense when they would get attacked. I feel that there is no way to succeed unless I suffer and accomplish my struggles.
