TIER 1 | Marksmanship Role
Considered to be a version of the Rifleman that is more capable at longer-ranges, the Designated Marksman comes equipped with one of the more typical battle rifles within the USRF's arsenal along with a scope. Despite the advantages provided by carrying a scope on the battlefield, most Designated Marksmen choose to remain slightly behind their fellow servicemen- using the scope issued to them to their advantage instead of minimizing the advantages provided by the scope by being directly up on the frontlines.

Tasked with the important role of physical surveillance of the battlefield, Cavalry Scouts move ahead of the rest of the force in order to identify and observe potential threats before they reach the main USRF force. Highly proficient in the art of long-range combat, the medium variant of the USRF Sniper typically comes equipped with the semi-automatic SR-60D. The SR-60D makes quick follow-up shots more readily available to the shooter, also being chambered in a larger, more powerful cartridge, making it an extremely potent and deadly long-range rifle.

Dedicated to the art of long-range combat, the heavy variant of the USRF Sniper typically carries a powerful anti-material rifle to neutralize targets at extreme ranges. Instead of prioritizing quick follow-up shots, the heavy sniper instead focuses on critical targets, such as heavily armored infantry or vehicles, with singular, deadly precision at distances that would normally pose a significant challenge to other servicemen.

TIER 3 | Marksmanship Role
Often seen as somewhat of a strange gimmick when compared to its traditional ballistic counterparts, the Railgunner typically utilizes the highly coveted VOSTOK or the more modular SWR-5 to provide overwatch and other tasks that normal marksman typically provide. Rarely seen in the field and even more rarely within the Black Mountain Garrison, a Railgunner being deployed often mean one of two things - you're either safe or you are in extreme danger if a Section Leader deems a Railgunner important enough to have on their patrol.
