Tab Commendation System
With a recent decision from the hicomm of the USRF, unit-wide patches were replaced with divisonal ones, while some units refuse to abide by this ruling, Lakeside Division in its entirety has agreed; and have been issued boxes full of badges, tabs, and patches.
Tabs are visual awards worn to the top of the patch, with no pixels inbetween, they rest upon themselves, stacking. The patch and tab should be centered on the left arm, replacing the area that rank patches usually would; opposite from the flag. However, these rewards are optional, if you prefer to not wear the patch and tabs, that is alright.
All Tabs are rewardable by JSL+
Green Rifle Identification Tab
The Green Rifles tab is an identification system that is being issued to mutant units across the NEU with the onset of the new divisional patches. It is made from cheap recycled material, it is also reported that some units recieve identification tabs without piping stitching, instead just a solid black piece of fabric as an identification.
Foreign Legion Identification Tab
The Etranger tab is another identification system that is currently being issued to repatriated units within the NEU, while there are no reports of unfinished tabs like the Green Rifle's, they are made from the same cheap recycled material, and some repatriated units outright refuse to wear them because of that, preferring the yellow tape; however, while this is true for some units, it is not for Sunrise' SR and NR.
Behavior Awarded Tab
The Sapper Tab is a tab adorned by those who've expressed a wide understanding of explosives and their uses. Whether this be the demolition of a small structure, or just not blowing themselves up; those who wear the tab are usually seen as the safer choice to issue explosives to.
Behavior Awarded Tab
The Pioneer Tab is awarded to those who've gone above and beyond in survival and recon, the soldiers who wear these are often light roles who's training excelled in that field; however it may be given to anyone. Wearing this tab cements your ability to remain alive and gather valuable intel, truly commendable.
Behavior Awarded Tab
The Advisor Tab, contrary to many belief, does not refer to the role within the USRF, but instead is a marker of strong leadership. Seen as advisors to the new recruits, it is often seen on leadership within the army, and select cadets who've outdone themselves in a leadership position. Wearing this tab as a cadet shows promise, and all around good behavior.
Vanity Tab, AWT Selfgrant.
While Advanced Weapons Training has been around for years, there hasn't been an officialized way to tell them apart aside from their weapon, which in the heat of battle was undependable. Since the inception of the new Division Patch system, AWT have been given their own tab for identification, and a reward for going through the training.
Behavior Awarded Tab, BMB Selfgrant
The Mountaineer Tab refers to those who've been trained to conduct operations within Mountainous terrain, whether this be formalized training, or training through combat; both are grounds to adorn the tab. As apart of Black Mountain Brigade, and the entire 4th's training, these soldiers were all issued a Mountaineer Tab, while it is not mandated to wear, unit leadership urges them to do so.
Badge Commendation System
Badges are another commendation that were sent with the Divisional patches and tabs, they are metallic with pins to attach onto clothing.
Badges are worn above the right pocket, they may not fit on certain tunics; which in most cases simply mean you cannot wear that tunic with the badges. However, with the RAU you may make an edit to remove the collar tab in order to wear your badges. You must center badges above the pocket, one pixel touching to the hardline of the pocket. You may only wear 3 at a time, your favorites, but they must be placed left to right in order from top to bottom on the sheet.

General Awarded Badge.
The Soldier Excellency Badge is a relic of a by-gone era, it remains visually unchanged from the very earliest notions of its existence; finding its creation in the pre-flash America. While its name has changed over the years, the current is the Soldier Excellency badge; and as the name suggests, it is rewarded to soldiers who are proven to be excellent in their field. It's blue background and silvered features bring an air of respect to the soldier wearing it, and thus, has been popularized within the Douglass Division which intends to keep its appearance in line.
Unlike some other Badges, the Soldier Excellency Badge is, in some cases, capable of breaking the rule of 3, going above the three badges, centered. However, this is not going to 100% be the case all of the time, it is up to the CCs opinion whether it looks good or not, and you may be asked to remove it.
Role Awarded Badge
The Field Medical Badge's design can be traced back to pre-Flash America, with it incorporating many design elements popular from before the Flash. As in the name, this badge is awarded to soldiers who go above the call of duty to provide life saving aid to their fellow servicemembers. This award carries significant weight due to its connotations, making it quite popular amongst units like the 36th Forward Surgical Team, as well as other dedicated front line medical units.
Role Awarded Badge
The Pathfinder's Torch is yet another badge which traces its origins to the pre-Flash American military. Indicated by the name, this award is presented to soldiers who have proven to be proficient in scouting or reconnaissance roles. This badge is most commonly found on the uniforms of those assigned to the Southern and Lakeside divisions, where the hostile wasteland terrain makes the usage of scouts quite common.
Event Awarded Badge
The Goat's Head badge has traces its roots back to pre-Flash America, but is considered by many to be a relatively recent award, only seeing production within the NEU. This badge is given to soldiers who prove themselves to be proficient enough to operate within even the coldest of temperatures. These awards are most commonly found within the Lakeside and Northern Divisions, in which both see mountainous and alpine conditions regularly.
Role Awarded Badge
The Bombardier's Badge is one of the first domestically produced badges in the NEU, with it being an entirely post-Flash design. This badge appeared not long after the formation of the USRF, and is awarded to soldiers who have proven to put explosives to good use. It is most commonly found amongst combat engineers and grenadiers of the Southern Division, in which the usage of explosives is extremely commonplace.

The Honorary Citizenship Badge is one of the most recent badges awarded to soldiers of the USRF, with the badge only beginning production after the 2164 coup d'état. This badge is awarded to foreign legionnaires who have proven themselves loyal to the Union and have been granted partial-citizenship. This badge is most commonly found within the ranks of the Northern Division, where there is a significant number of repatriated soldiers who have been integrated into their ranks.
Event Awarded Badge
The Relief Corps Badge is one of the few commendations that is not produced by the Northeastern Union that has been approved for use by the military. This badge is produced by the Relief Corps, and is often handed out to soldiers who participate in relief operations. While the badges themselves are frequently handed out and widespread, there are reports of soldiers who refuse to wear it because of its 'weak' connotation.
Event Awarded Badge
The Broken Soul Award has origins that trace back to pre-Flash America. The award is most similar to the pre-Flash 'purple heart' award, and is handed out to soldiers who are seriously wounded in the line of duty. This badge is amongst the most common of badges for soldiers within all of the divisions to receive, with there even being reports of some soldiers receiving this award as many as three to four times during the length of their service.
Event Commendation System
For those commendations in events that are not quite standardized, come event Commendations. These vary from a range of different sources, and may be based on anything. More will likely be added as JSL+ who run events want to give out more specific rewards.
These are worn alongside your regular badges, with some exceptions which will be outlined in their message.

The Air Assault Wings are badge commendations that are given to soldiers who've shown the ability to operate in missions involving air-mobile components. They are often seen on Southern, and Douglass Division soldiers, as they are the ones with the most funding, and can often use helicopters more than once.
Unlike some other Badges, the Air Assault Wings are, in some cases, capable of breaking the rule of 3, going above the three badges, centered. However, this is not going to 100% be the case all of the time, it is up to the CCs opinion whether it looks good or not, and you may be asked to remove it.
Event Awarded Badge
The Divers Helmet is a chest badge made for those who've shown themselves as ample combat divers. It resembles a helmet often used by deep sea divers to withstand the pressure of the underwater; this reflects in the Combat Diver's ability to work under pressure, even in aquatic conditions. This is seen no where outside of Naval Units.
