The United States Reclamation Force (USRF) is an occupational military force that seeks to further expand its sphere of influence into the wasteland. In the name of their homeland, the Northeast Union (NEU), they will go to great lengths to ensure victory. As a result, the USRF views anyone and anything that stands in their way as a threat to their mission and an enemy to the Union's sacred flag.

Founded in 2116, the USRF was created with the express purpose of reclaiming US territories lost to chaos and anarchy after the nuclear holocaust in 2071. The USRF quickly earned a reputation for its heavy handed, oftentimes brutal occupation of the wasteland, wherein independent settlements were subjugated and strong-armed into joining the NEU. Although this practice has largely been deposed of in favor of adopting a more diplomatic approach, the USRF continues to exert its iron-fisted control over the wasteland through the Lakeside Division, a large military unit formed with the intention of further expanding NEU influence into the Great Lakes region. Here, the USRF has maintained a constant presence for decades, with some detachments even coexisting peacefully with natives of the wasteland. In the Sunrise Isles, within the Black Mountain Complex, a contingent has managed to coexist with the settlers here, sharing a symbiotic relationship. The local USRF garrison provides security, and in return, the locals source food for the service members.
