CHRISTMAS 2024: MEDIUM BOX ZETA [UNATTAINABLE]
BASE TOOL: Arc Welder, Backpack
ATTACHMENTS: None
(Restricted to: Combat Engineer)
A pre-Flash reproduction, the W98 was made in 2098 after pre-Flash welding devices proved to be ineffective without sufficient maintenance. Designed to work on a variety of materials in harsh conditions, the W98 is cheap, rugged, and reliable. The chassis of the W98 may also be converted into a plasma cutter with the right adjustments, and in this form are usually seen in the hands of combat divers. However, Engineers report the backpack to be cumbersome and attention-grabbing, two things you don't want when walking into a battlefield. Despite it's age and flaws, the W98 remains a favorite tool of Combat Engineers.
CHRISTMAS 2024: MEDIUM BOX ZETA [UNATTAINABLE]
BASE TOOL: Arc Welder, Handheld
ATTACHMENTS: None
(Restricted to: Combat Engineer)
Born out of purpose, the W100, just a slight step up from the W98, was developed from the older welder's chassis in 2099 and began production in 2100. Without the need of a backpack, the W100 is far more ergonomic in the hands of engineers. Boasting the same capability to convert into a plasma cutter, it is superior in nearly every aspect. However, the W100 is reported to suffer quality issues. The polymer composite body, while cheaper to produce than stamped steel, is brittle and is prone to warping. It is powered by readily available batteries, leading some to compare it to the quality of the NV-11s.
BASE TOOL: MMK105 Frag Grenade
ATTACHMENTS: None
(Restricted to: JSL+ Discretion)
The standard hand grenade of the USRF, the MMK105 is an improvement of the ancient M67 design. Using an unconventional spheroid design to prevent rolling, the MMK105 first started production in 2085 for use against raider warbands during the times of the Early Militia. Having since then been improved in 2116 with a denser explosive composite material and in 2154 with a delayed fuse to be thrown further distances in urban combat, the MMK105 remains extremely versatile and lethal, no matter where or who you throw it at. Once the pin is pulled, Mr Grenade is no longer your friend.
BASE TOOL: MCP Incendiary Grenade
ATTACHMENTS: None
(Restricted to: JSL+ Discretion)
A more uncommon sight to see, the MCP Incendiary Grenade uses the shell of a M26, usually a used/recycled one, with minor additions to include an extremely potent napalm mixture that violently detonates into a plume of flames. Most of the MCP grenades on Sunrise are either produced domestically or from years-old stockpiles of incendiary grenades that were deemed ineffective on the Southern Front. However, the napalm mixture has proved itself extremely affective against eldritches, and in recent times, biomass. The Crisis Corps are known to produce and field these more than other units.
BASE TOOL: M26 Smoke Grenade
ATTACHMENTS: None
(Restricted to: JSL+ Discretion)
The M26 is designated the standard smoke grenade of the USRF, sharing many qualities with it's pre-Flash counterpart, the old M18. In comparison though, the M26 is superior to the M18 in almost every aspect, in reliability, smoke visibility and lifetime. The shell is made out of a composite material cheaper to produce than stamped steel, giving it the edge in mass production and overwhelming use. Due to this development, the M26 has been seen on every front where USRF soldiers fight, and there are even reports that Southern Union soldiers have taken a liking to the grenade's design aswell, using them whenever possible. The main colors the M26 come in are White, Purple, Red, and Yellow.
HALLOWEEN 2024: PYROMANCER'S CHALLENGE [UNATTAINABLE]
BASE TOOL: Biofuel Bomb
ATTACHMENTS: None
(Restricted to: JSL+ Discretion)
An unconventional design, the M80 is domestically produced by the Black Mountain armory, usually created out of ineffective biofuel, with the main body consisting of low-quality scrap. While not a powerful explosive, the M80 proves effective as a cheaper counterpart to the MCP in lieu of it's combustibility. However, troops report inconsistent design quality, safety & reliability concerns, and sometimes complete failure to detonate. Most soldiers do not dare to use the B80, but it is especially commonplace amongst the Green Rifles for it's easy construction and the fact you can load pretty much anything in as shrapnel - nails, broken glass, and some soldiers even use sharpened animal bones.
BASE TOOL: First Aid Biofoam
ATTACHMENTS: None
A pre-Flash commodity, the First Aid Biofoam first began production in the 2050s. A cheap antiseptic spray that disinfects wounds and numbs pain, intended for use in the pre-Flash world as part of every civilian's first aid kit and for use by first responders. However, since the Flash, the the B50 has since been repurposed and reproduced to fit the typical grunt's IFAK, being so effective compared to regular bandages that even the Southern Union soldiers may be seen fielding them and selling them within the SU for a premium. The composition of the material remains a closely guarded mystery, only being produced in two top-secret factories in the NEU.
GOLD SAFE REWARD [UNATTAINABLE]
BASE TOOL: Medical Biofoam
ATTACHMENTS: None
(Restricted to: CLS+)
A rarer sight, the Medical Biofoam was developed off of the First Aid Biofoam in early 2070, boasting a more effective applicant of the spray. While slightly more expensive to produce, the B70 was intended for use by combat medics and first responders, however it did not see much use in the pre-Flash world before the Flash. Nowadays, the B70 is delegated to medical personnel of the USRF, proving effective in sealing gunshot wounds, clotting and disinfection. However, the procedure of using the B70 is extremely painful, having to jam the nozzle into the wound and the composition itself feels 'like a hive of fire ants'. Despite this, the B70 remains an extremely important tool of any medic.
BASE TOOL: Multi-Use Injector
ATTACHMENTS: None
(Restricted to: Medical)
The MUPI, or Multi Use Pressure Injector, is a NEU produced design of the mid 2150s, created after shock and blood loss claimed more lives in Roanoke than enemy combatants. It functions as a stimulant that increases user reaction speed, hand-eye coordination, and awareness. It also acts as a blood thinner, meaning that it takes longer for wounds to stop bleeding, and is intended to keep a patient from entering shock. While not intended for use outside medical emergencies, it provides a jolt of energy at the cost of situational awareness, being only useful in emergency scenarios. It does not use a typical needle and is generally less painful. However, extended use of the MUPI can cause addictions, which is why one to three doses are typically delegated to one service member at a time.
BASE TOOL: OWL Thermal Binoculars
ATTACHMENTS: None
(Restricted to: Marksmanship CSC+)
The OWL Thermal Binoculars function as an effective sighting device hailing from the 2140s. The OWL has a specially created case to reduce it's footprint on a thermal camera. In the 2160s, the model was upgraded to have thermal optics, rangefinding capabilities and wind speed calculators, boasting the ability to see clearly through rad-storms, rain and snowfall. Expensive, reliable, and effective, the OWL is a favorite tool of marksmen and spotters.
BASE TOOL: Q200 Buzzsaw
ATTACHMENTS: Razortooth Blade, Polymer Blade Cover, Pristine Finish
(Restricted to: Combat Engineer, Assaulter, Biomass Containment Group)
The Q2150 was created for the one purpose: breaching. It’s noted that the buzzsaw has a long history before its current use in the USRF; however all breaching saws have 1 thing in common, cutting down doors and getting teams into a place quickly. Around 2149 during Roanoke, when individuals in the USRF began facing urban hardships behind locked doors, not everything could be opened with explosives or shot open with a 12 gauge. This is when the NEU contracted companies to begin creating the standardized “Q2150” buzzsaw for use in urban environments or anything that needs a door sawn open.
HALLOWEEN 2024: CARNOMANCER'S CHALLENGE [UNATTAINABLE]
BASE TOOL: LL920 Chainsaw
ATTACHMENTS: Pristine Finish, Factory Chainsaw Blade
(Restricted to: Combat Engineer, Assaulter, Biomass Containment Group)
The chainsaw is a versatile tool that’s been in use since the mid-1900s, though mainly used to cut trees, as of recently alongside the Q2150, some prefer a chainsaw over a circular saw, and so the chainsaw has also seen use in the same way the Q2150 Buzzsaw does. However the 99th Biomass Containment Group has especially taken a liking to the chainsaw; being noted as way more effective against cutting down biomass creatures and nests compared to the circular saw.
HALLOWEEN 2024: BONUS PRIZE [UNATTAINABLE]
BASE TOOL: Rampart
ATTACHMENTS: Strikebreaker Viewport, Strikebreaker Front Plate, Strikebreaker Shield
(Restricted to: CSB & Riot Control)
[SPL 3]
“Rampart” Shields is a broad term referring to a closely related sibling of the riot shield, made out of car doors, steel doors, or anything else that’s otherwise flat, thick, and made of metal. A Rampart is a strong tool used in riots or otherwise dangerous events that require the use of sterner protection, Ramparts are often able to take strong strikes anywhere on the plates, which includes intermediate rifle cartridges. Often seen by the Green Rifles, where if one is too poor or simply doesn’t fit the requirements to have a shield, they make one themselves.
NOTE: The "Wastrel" attachments are SPL2
BASE TOOL: Riot Shield
ATTACHMENTS: Rusted Shield, Painted Shield, Black Shield
(Restricted to: Green Rifles)
BASE TOOL: Riot Shield
ATTACHMENTS: Black Police Shield, Factory Police Shield
(Restricted to: CSB)
[SPL 3]
Riot shields have a long history, originating from the 1960s during Irish riots, to LA riots in the 90s. Today, riot shields have become stronger than ever before, notably stopping multiple rifle rounds to the center of mass, and needed for a plethora of things that may not always be riots. Only seen in-use by Green Rifles and the Central Security Bureau, they are employed currently for riots and anything else far-and-few matters that are related to crowd control. Such as being the head of breaching operations where pointmen are brave enough to wield the Bastion in the face of danger.
NOTE: The riot shield can only be used during riot events as permitted by the hoster.
CHRISTMAS 2024: LARGE BOX ALPHA [UNATTAINABLE]
BASE TOOL: Mirage Display System
ATTACHMENTS: None
(Restricted to: Surgeon, Cybernetic Technician, Administration)
The Mirage Display System, developed in the mid 2150s from pre-Flash blueprints, serves as a powerful tool that can be used for a plethora of things: from being utilized as compliments to engineering ARDs, or employed as medical tools that are able to function as modern pagers and scan patients, or keep information and tabs on what’s important, it is no doubt that they are one of the most important tools seen in a doctor’s or logistician’s “arsenal” of tools.
CHRISTMAS 2024: LARGE BOX ZETA [UNATTAINABLE]
BASE TOOL: Mauler
ATTACHMENTS: "Breacher" Hammer Head, "Scaffold" Grip
(Restricted to: Assaulter)
The Mauler family of hammers is an umbrella term for over 10 different breaching devices employed by the USRF, but the one that's found it's way into the hands of Lakeside Division in particular is the H93 model. The H93 model has a two-sided handle, allowing the modular replacement of hammer heads as seen necessary. The H93 comes with two grips, consisting of a heavy handle with a halligan bar and a lightweight handle with a rubber grip. The H93 has proved itself a powerful tool for crowd control or breaching, capable of tearing down doors, walls, and especially well as a two-handed melee weapon if necessary.
NOTE: The "Tornado" and "Thunderstorm" attachments are restricted. The "Arbor" Grip is restricted to Green Rifles.
SUMMER RAIN 2024 - FLASH PASS [UNATTAINABLE]
BASE COMPANION: Swarmer
(Restricted to: Drone Operator)
NOTE: You must have JSL and hoster permission to use the SWARMER.
The Swarmer is a small drone made primarily of plastic composite materials, and is used operationally as expendable loitering munition. Within the USRF, Swarmer drones have seen many years of combat including the First and Second Canadian War, as well as the NEU-SU war. Capable of basic obstacle avoidance, these drones are typically deployed in swarms against stationary, or slow-moving ground targets to devastating effect. The explosive warhead has found success in reliably penetrating weakpoints of armored vehicles, and is equally effective at eliminating large amounts of enemy infantry. In recent years, fiber-optic-compatible swarms have begun to see use across the NEU's battlefields.
BASE COMPANION: N/A
(Restricted to: Drone Operator)
NOTE: You must have hoster permission to use the RD-145.
The Watchman is a small, unmanned surveillance and reconnaissance drone developed by the USRF. It provides an easy deployment process and a long loiter time in the field, making it an invaluable asset in uncontested airspace. Its chassis consists of a mix of lightweight composites, trading durability for loiter time and allowing the drone to remain in a location for upwards of three hours.
BASE COMPANION: Scarab
(Restricted to: Drone Operator)
NOTE: You must have hoster permission to use the SCARAB.
Mass manufactured originally created for construction workers that has since been converted for use in the USRF. The drone features a small mechanical arm that is capable of being modified to hold small tools, or in some combat cases, grenades. Due to its superior hovering stability and high resolution lens, the Scarab has seen use by USRF droners in poorer units to act as scouts.
STREAM DONOR ITEM: TIER III
BASE ATTACHMENT: 'Mini-12' Masterkey
(Restricted to: Assaulter)
[PL 2]
The M56 Locksmith was born out of necessity in the heights of the Roanoke War after reports that soldiers were using the older M48 Locksmith both on doors, and on enemy combatants due to the chaotic nature of urban warfare. Boasting a 7 shell tube capacity, semi-automatic configuration, a slightly longer barrel and a full choke to keep pellets together, the M56 model of the Locksmith series is both an effective breaching tool and head-remover when the need arises. Albeit larger and heavier, contradicting it's purpose to be an effective CQC weapon, no complaints have been filed yet.
BASE ATTACHMENT: Keystone Locksmith
(Restricted to: Assaulter)
[PL 2]
The M48 was the first production of the Locksmith series, created in 2148 by Union Arms to serve as an underbarrel breaching device that could blow doors and locks open. The system itself is mounted on an adjustable rail system, allowing it to adapt to most gun handguards and attach snugly. Sporting 5 shells in the tube in a pump-action body with a folding foregrip, the M48 defines keeping things simple. Union Arms also produces specially designed breaching shells to reduce collateral damage. Due to the price tag on these rounds though, most soldiers opt to use regular buckshot instead.
BASE ATTACHMENT: M220N
(Restricted to: Grenadier)
[PL 1 / PL SPEC]
The pre-Flash M220N design hails from the very lethal M220 counterpart which has been lost to time. This law-enforcement UBGL, intended for handling riots, can only fire non-lethal munitions, and is chambered in 35mm instead of the typical 40mm seen on most grenade launchers in an effort to be less-lethal than other grenade launchers. However, do not mix the terms up, because less-lethal and non-lethal are both two very different worlds, and the M220N, despite these precautions, still has a kill count of atleast 50 rioters in the past 10 years. Most M220N models come with a built in laser rangefinder, though the GPS systems have long since fried, only leaving the laser attachment. The USRF produce smoke and tear gas rounds for the M220N.
NOTE: The M220N is only able to fire non-lethal rounds such as smoke, beanbags and tear gas. Beanbag and tear gas rounds are CSB Riot Control exclusive.
BASE ATTACHMENT: M203 Grenadier / M203 Explosive
(Restricted to: Grenadier)
[PL SPEC]
The M203, an ancient pre-Flash design that dates back to over two hundred years ago, can still be found in service with the soldiers of the USRF, mounted to the equally ancient M16 handguards. The 40mm ammunition it takes has not changed however - and they are still used by even modern grenade launchers. Due to it's old mounting system, the M203 can only be attached to M16 rifles. Not all M203s are as old as when they first entered production though, as some companies in the NEU still produce reproduction M203s and their ammunition. Lakeside Division has received a number of these rifles and launchers.
NOTE: The M203 Explosive can only be used with JSL+ and hoster permission
BASE ATTACHMENT: MicroVOLT
(Restricted to: CSB & Riot Control)
[PL SPEC]
The Microvolt was developed not too long after the Tempest L1 entered production, serving as a viable non-lethal underbarrel taser that can mount to most modern rifles. Despite its small size, the Microvolt is capable of inducing spasming and paralysis for upwards of three minutes upon a good connection with the target. Despite being marketed as non-lethal, there have been rare documented cases of the electric shock causing fatal heart attacks in the target.
