Like the 63, the Mendel Match is another natural evolution of the Mendel pistol series. This handgun comes standard with an integrated compensator and self-illuminated rear and front sights. It serves as a 'match-grade' upgrade of the original platform, highlighted by its capacity for tighter shot groupings over the original model and higher accuracy at range. Though the quality of the gun itself is hard to overstate, it sees little use in the USRF following the adoption of the modernized Mendel-XR.

The USRF's standard-issue sidearm, issued in amounts dwarfing any other available handgun. The Mendel-XR is produced for a post-nuclear world. This variant comes with a comfortable ribbed grip and a light trigger pull, allowing the operator to fire faster follow-up shots. Like the Mendel Match, it comes with self-illuminated rear and front sights, but also features an optional lighting module and threaded suppressor mount for usage in a myriad of different conditions. The handgun can be rechambered for the 5.7x28mm NEU cartridge.

A lightweight, compact pistol that features higher-capacity magazines than most other sidearms of the same size. The Warden's polymer frame remains reliable in almost any environment and can easily be modified into a full-scale carbine capable of deadly automatic fire. Similar to most Mendel models, it features a threaded mount for suppressors and proper rail mounts when retrofitted as a carbine.

A pistol with an integral suppressor, the Quiman was originally designed and manufactured by the Southern Union for espionage purposes. It uses a common NEU caliber, 5.7x28mm, which allows spies to easily source ammo deep into NEU lines. A dozen assassinations of NEU officials can be attributed to this pistol's efficiency, and a mixture of captured and reverse-engineered instances of the Quiman see limited use by USRF units in the field.

Throughout the 2163-2164 Deep Wintertide, the wide majority of supply lines into the Sunrise Isles were cut off, forcing merchants, smiths, and general wastelanders to work with what they had to defend themselves. The Spade was the resulting handgun that came from these desperate trials and errors, built from cannibalized parts sourced from different firearms into a handgun that, while somewhat dysfunctional, still finds its uses in the hands of wasters and poorly-funded USRF units.

Designed after the classic Colt M1911, the SuperColt is an attempt to bring the power of EBC ammunition to the world of handguns. EBC Gel Compound 83 is a highly volatile compound that creates an exothermic reaction on contact with organic flesh, causing an incendiary explosion. This makes it highly effective at dealing with lightly armored targets. Although some are known to be used by USRF servicemen, both the price and the rather short supply of the exotic gel compound make the average soldier turn away from it, ensuring it is only seen in limited numbers.

A modernized reproduction of the famous IMI Desert Eagle high-caliber pistol, chambered for more commonly available and slightly less powerful cartridges. In the field, the LXVII's excessively large frame and massive cartridge make it a far rarer implement compared to the more common Mendel-XR, and it most commonly sees usage by officers or happy-go-lucky cadets thanks to the nature of the handgun's reputation.

A forward-receiver handgun designed and produced within the confines of the Great Lakes Coalition. Coupled with the handgun's success in shooting competitions, this has earned it a limited spot amongst the loadouts of some USRF soldiers.

The DT7, also known as the "Dual Target 7x23mm", is a pre-flash relic that almost saw standardization in the United States Armed Forces. Though once renowned for its efficiency and caseless cartridge, the proprietary ammunition (and short shelf life thereof) has prompted it to become a rare sight in the hands of soldiers and wasters alike.

The single most popular handgun in the NEU, chambered in a ubiquitous cartridge that's traveled the world twice over. Nearly every household with a gun permit has at one point or another owned a .38, whether it was inherited or bought for dirt-cheap prices. Some prefer using this revolver over their own standard-issue handgun, as it remains a pleasant reminder of home even in the field.

A shorter barrel version of the Seraph 550 revolver, informally known as the "Baby Falcon". Although it cannot fit a thermal scope or electronic warfare system into its frame like its larger cousin, the 330 features a threaded barrel and sealed firing mechanism that permits it to be fully suppressed, unlike most other revolvers.

The Seraph 550, nicknamed the "Sea Falcon", is known for its reliance on pre-war tech. Its sight contains an ECWM (Electronic Warfare Uplink) and was built to be used along soldiers' ARDs. Nowadays, due to the lack of standardized technology in the USRF's arsenal, the revolver has become significantly less popular due to its pronounced weight. Regardless, the functions it provides still prove useful in the hands of those who know how to use them.

A locally-sourced single-action .357 revolver nicknamed "Indie", it is sometimes made with parts cannibalized from other firearms or created from scrap by wasteland gunsmiths. A certain volume of wastelanders prefer the Indie over other revolvers due to its powerful caliber, which is enough to stop most wildlife in its tracks. Its single-action nature makes follow-up shots difficult, however.

Hailing from the western parts of the United States, the Smith DES is a powerful and unique weapon, combining the technology found in gauss guns with the compact size of a handgun. Produced by the enigmatic DESERT Nation and powered by reliable ferrophosphate batteries, some shipments of the DES have found their way into the hands of USRF units thanks to local traders, suppliers, and its incredibly cheap ammunition.

The Nemesis exists as a competitor to the Mendel platform and was directly compared against the Mendel-XR in trials for the USRF's adoption of a new standard-issue sidearm. Firing .45 ACP instead of 9x19 Para or 5.7mm NEU, the Nemesis has seen a resurgence in the markets across the Union and the wasteland after its bid to the NEAF failed. It sees plentiful usage amongst soldiers who look for a little bit more in terms of stopping power, and sports the same capacity for a suppressor as most Mendels.

A relic of the past and the symbol of what America once was, the Colt 1911 is one of the most widespread handguns in the world, used in well over three world wars and dozens of other international conflicts. Despite its remarkable age, instances of the M1911 are still seen favorably by many due to its proven reliability, ruggedness, and cultural significance. Thanks to vast surplus stockpiles of the pistol surviving the flash with its machining tools and widely available blueprints, it was one of the go-to firearms of the Early Militia.

The Harp is one of the most widely available pistols in the Northeastern Union, firing the remarkably common .22 LR caliber. Considered by many hobbyists to be an entry-level gun, the Harp is renowned for its usage in both hunting small game and target shooting. Models of the Harp have been created for both covert applications and competitive shooting, and the familiarity many soldiers share with the weapon means that it finds a place amongst USRF ranks despite its less powerful caliber.

Small, easy to conceal, and cheap to produce, the Etienne is a common sight amongst pirates of the Quebecois insurgent group known as the 'Voyageurs'. A common misnomer is that the pistol is believed to be named after the NEU president, Etienne Dubois, with there even being rumors of plans to kill the president with said pistol. Falling into the hands of the USRF after seizures of Voyageur weapon caches, the cheap, compact, and versatile nature of the pistol has made it a coveted item for some within the USRF's ranks.

Designed to give its users the power of a .44 Magnum in a semi-automatic configuration, the Automag is a Pre-Flash reproduction of the real Automag, originally designed in the 1970s. Improving upon the shortcomings of the original design's reliability, the Automag has slowly become a favorite of those looking for a little extra stopping power—if they can find one, that is.

As part of the SR-57 program, the PDW-57 is a downsized version of the NEAF bullpup chambered in 5.7x28mm. This approach proved practical for the NEAF, as it removed the need to supply brand-new platforms to soldiers, instead ensuring they could modify the already existing SR-57 platform into compact PDWs. Inheriting the SR-57's title of "Shredder" due to its remarkable fire rate, the PDW-57 is primarily seen in the hands of security personnel, vehicle crews, and assaulters.

A locally produced submachine gun hailing from Southpoint State and famous for its modularity. Original instances of the Locust were produced in Darkport and utilized by mutant warbands, but the design has long since spread beyond the confines of the State's own militants. Instances of the weapon can be seen mostly with predominantly mutant units, but its modularity, capacity for attachments, and optional drum magazine ensure that it has a place amongst any group of soldiers.

A Southern Union submachine gun created for the needs of house-to-house fighting along the frontline, the SMG-05 gained its fame for its ruggedness and versatility. It can be seen in the hands of a few NEAF soldiers after a handful were captured from SU depots.

A Turkish upgrade to the once-famous FN P90, the Ifrit offers superior ergonomics and caliber modularity compared to its Belgian counterpart. During the pre-Flash days, the Ifrit was exported to the United States and Canada, where it saw service among local forces. Due to an abundance of these firearms being imported, it is no surprise that some survived the nuclear holocaust, landing themselves in the hands of the USRF. Thanks to its large magazine capacity and reliability, the Ifrit can be found among law enforcement personnel and vehicle crews.

A derivative of the infamous Uzi platform, the Kochikame is a lightweight weapon that can field a handful of attachments for a number of environments. It even sees usage amongst a rare handful of special forces groups thanks to its compatibility with suppressors and ease of concealment.

A fairly old submachine gun originating from South America. How it made its way to North America is unclear, but the SU ended up with the blueprints required to make their own. A submachine gun designed by Union Arms to be sold in the wasteland and frontier markets, the SR-54 is a post-flash redesign of the classic KRISS Vector, featuring its iconic recoil-dampening system plus a more compact bullpup configuration. The SR-54, sometimes known as the "Buzzard", can be seen in the hands of many USRF personnel for its compatibility with several different common pistol calibers. The process of converting the SMG is rather simple, as it requires only a barrel swap and receiver change.

Originating from America's wastelands, the Gremlin is a plea from mercenaries, security personnel, and adventurers for a cheap, compact weapon with a good output of rounds. With its proven reliability, the Gremlin made its way into the arsenals of nation-states across North America and saw use by both sides of the First Union War. The USRF issues the Gremlin amongst security personnel and vehicle crewmen, but there are accounts of the weapon being used by airmen as a survival gun.

One of many firearms that is able to have its origins traced back to the wastelands of North America, the 3DW is a cheap to produce 3D printed SMG. Being an attempt at producing an even cheaper and more 'elegant' solution to supply shortages, the 3DW opts to make use of a 3D printed polymer frame, forgoing the more labor-intensive usage of stamped metal. Cheap to produce, and easier to get spare parts for, the 3DW has gradually made its way into the hands of the Green Rifles and Hilltop Group alike.

Your run of the mill Double Barrel 12-gauge shotgun. Its simplicity makes it a popular weapon around the globe. It gained some attention in the USRF ranks as a few soldiers brought them from home for anti-drone warfare.

A double-barreled Over/Under hammerless shotgun based on the Stoeger Condor, the Sterling is popular amongst hunters due to its lengthy barrel and simple operation mechanism; some are seen in service by USRF soldiers for anti-drone purposes, similar to the Bobwhite.
A field modification for the Sterling known as "Prototype 935" allows the gun to fire magnetically accelerated flechettes or slugs. These rounds perform against unarmored combatants at close range with devastating effect, but lack the proper armor penetration that a rifle offers.

A lever-action shotgun of southern origin. This type of weapon has gained global fame from popular movie productions, and its relatively cheap price allowed it to be commonly found amongst Southern Union breachers and pointmen during the early stages of the war. Nowadays, most soldiers have moved on to more sophisticated pump-action or semi-automatic shotguns, leaving the Ranger 12 in their shadows. It can still be rarely found amongst Southern Repatriate ranks due to its symbolism in their heritage.

An ancient firearm dating back to the end of the 19th century, the Auto-5 has seen a rebirth among local gunsmiths and arms producers across the wasteland and unions, thanks to its fairly simple manufacturing process. Chambered in 12 gauge, the Automatic 5 is the first successful semi-automatic shotgun. In the wasteland, the quality of these firearms may vary depending on the manufacturer. Nevertheless, the Auto 5 is an extremely popular choice for frontiersmen and some USRF soldiers thanks to its semi-automatic firing mode and ruggedness.

A compact shotgun known as "Keystone SSS", it is preferred by most pointmen for breaching doors and assaulting positions. A bullpup pump-action shotgun taking inspiration from the old Kel-Tec KSG. It only has one tube holding 7 rounds instead of the KSG’s dual tube configuration, and it can also be seen as an attempt to bring the advantage of bullpups to the world of shotguns. Some praise it for its small size and the pump's placement closer to the center mass of the gun, making it a bit easier to maintain aim between shots.

A modular shotgun that can be fitted with a 12-gauge or 20-gauge barrel and receiver. Built by White Bay Armory, the Anileid was criticized for being too expensive compared to its rival counterparts, resulting in poor initial sales. Security teams in the north later adopted the rifle for its smooth performance in cold environments, and after its arsenal's closure in 2158, most Anileids were exported, with some units finding themselves in the hands of USRF grunts.

An Italian combat shotgun primarily used by law enforcement and SWAT teams. The decision to chamber it in 20 gauge as opposed to 12 gauge was likely due to the shotgun being automatic. It was heavily marketed for the United States, where it was adopted by various police departments, including ones in Sunrise City. Semi-automatic civilian versions were made with smaller capacity magazines, but controversy arose over the ease of converting these models back to full-auto. Enough models still exist post-Flash for it to see uncommon usage across the continental United States and beyond, with some in the hands of the USRF.

A fully automatic 12-gauge shotgun loved by many for its efficiency in trench warfare and destructive power against eldritches. The AA-36 can hose down its targets with consecutive 12-gauge shells, but managing to keep the shotgun steady while emptying a magazine is a difficult and painful endeavor due to its high recoil. The shotgun is also known for being pricey and requiring extensive maintenance, as a poorly maintained AA-36 is prone to jams that are hard to clear in the midst of combat. Its price tag means only a few AA-36 models are seen among USRF troops, with most being used by shock infantry units down on the southern front.

Produced by Union Arms, the M2128 is a domestic reproduction of the old Benelli M3 dual-mode shotgun, retaining the ability to be modified into a pump action or semi-automatic firearm with the switch of a few parts. It is often seen in homes of gun owners and frontier settlements, but it isn’t rare to see NEAF troops sporting the weapon. Some assaulters have been seen using the "Assaulter" configuration of the M2128 in trench-clearing operations down South, as per the SU's inability to issue most of their forces body armor.

Usually used by the most unfortunate of soldiers within the NEAF armed forces or those forced to fight for it in exchange for freedom or redemption. The Luzerne is a DIY scrap shotgun usually chambered in 12 gauge, but it can be modified to fire 10 gauge in a single-shot configuration. Both wasters and soldiers claim that operating the rifle is akin to holding a ticking grenade due to its tendency to implode from poor build quality. Black Mountain Brigade's NCOs and COs advise their soldiers not to lay a finger on this gun, but the same cannot be said for the Green Rifles, PIB, or some of the repatriates.

A rudimentary yet fierce-looking pump shotgun. The true origins of the Scattercrosis are unknown, with some claiming it was made for the Coalition during the Huroni wars and others claiming it was the invention of seasoned eldritch hunters shooting their shot at the arms manufacturing market. The Scattercrosis is unique with its magazine-fed receiver, which allows it to work with 8-rounder 12-gauge mags and offers a speed advantage compared to traditional tube magazine shotguns. It is also noticeably more accurate when firing slugs. The gun can be seen in the hands of USRF assaulters and security personnel, but the magazines for the gun may take more space on an assaulter's kit compared to loose 12-gauge rounds.

On the Sunrise Isles, one of the ammunition often associated with the Scattercrosis is rounds tipped with traces of biomass. Although it is incapable of infecting the target with biomass, it can create nasty bacterial infections in the victim's wound. The USRF has forbidden all usage of the ammunition, citing the various hazards associated with the round.

Bearing a striking resemblance to other weapons within the USRF's arsenal, the Mad Dog is an attempt at a knockoff copy of the SR-57 pattern rifle by the Florida-based 'Hyke's Insurrection'. Having made its way to the frontlines, and thus into the hands of the USRF, the Mad Dog has quickly proven itself to be an effective weapon in handling eldritch threats.

Due to them being deployed to mutant prone areas where the average human would succumb to the effects of radiation, the Green Rifles were the first to use the Mad-Dog in an official capacity as a counter to eldritch mutants. Soldiers of the Green Rifles commonly modified their weapons by shortening the barrel and adding attachments like flashlights to the gun in order to give the operator a better advantage in CQB scenarios.

Being the first field trial of the SR-51 platform, the XSR-5A1 was developed in the 2140s and mass-produced in the thousands. It closely resembles the classic M16 originally fielded by the United States from centuries past with an almost exact mechanical setup. The only difference between the 5A1 and the later 5A2 is the wood furnishing. The wood was replaced by faux-wood and later polymer, both of which proved more efficient and durable in the field.

Another batch of rifles for field testing by the USRF. The XSR-51A2 is almost identical to the 5A1, with the main distinguishing feature being a polymer furnishing instead of wood. This change was made after testing revealed that the wood furnishings were susceptible to warping and were prone to catching fire under continuous fire. The XSR-5A1 and A2 both come with a fixed carry handle and iron sights, not allowing much in the way of modularity.

The SR-51 is the first standard-issue weapon to enter USRF service. Unlike the XSR-5A1 and A2, the SR-51 features modern furnishing with picatinny rails to allow for more modularity. However, this also came at a cost. These weapon parts were largely outsourced by Union Arms to subcontractors, resulting in the rifle being prone to suffering critical stovepipe jams when fired in automatic fire mode. This has earned it its nickname of "Stovepiper".

As the NEU's weapon manufacturing industry grew, so did the need for a new rifle. Despite the SR-51's initial success, the weapon platform still had a plethora of underlying issues that could be vastly improved upon. Thus, the SR-57 was born as the NEU's first true modular weapons platform, using the bullpup principle to make it more compact and easier to handle. The rifle can be modified into a PDW or a DMR version with a few intuitive component swaps on the upper receiver.

Considered the pinnacle of mass-produced NEU firearms, the SR-60 is the ultimate evolution of the SR platform. The manufacturing process utilizes more precise machinery and vastly improves upon the SR-57. The final product is a more accurate, modular rifle with a higher fire rate than the SR-57 MOD4. However, its main drawback comes from its accessibility. The relatively new rifle is only shipped in small batches to the Lakeside Division, which means most Lakeside soldiers often rely on the SR-57s or SR-51s for their duties.

The M65A5's development was unusually problematic. Starting as the Syracuse Design Bureau's bid for the Reclamation Force's small-arms trials, the XR-59S was rejected in favor of the SR-60 platform. Rectifying production defects and design flaws became a multi-year ordeal, during which development shifted away from a universal platform and towards a specialized carbine for upper-echelon troops. The inadequacies of the development cycle ended in an internal investigation, and as a result, subsequent production rights were given to Union Arms. The platform was renamed the M65A5 by Union Arms and lacks an official U.S.R.F. designation.

With Wintertides cutting off almost all supply lines into Sunrise, local gunsmiths and traders had to improvise and work with what they had. The Jakob is constructed primarily via stamped metal and scavenged weapon parts, and it soon becomes a pipe rifle that exemplifies the Sunrise population's will for bloodshed. Multiple Jakobs would find their way into the markets of Black Mountain, and to conserve resources, would be fielded by the USRF's most impoverished units. As with most pipe rifles, the build quality varies wildly from rifle to rifle. Most riflemen sporting the rifle are fearful that it might blow up in their faces.

An old M14-style rifle that is still issued to SU reserve units. A good deal of seasoned veterans swear by it even today, with NEU and SU special forces alike occasionally opting to use this weapon for its reliability in the most extreme of environments and availability of ammo in all theaters. It was originally collected by USRF soldiers as trophies, but now sees limited service with the USRF.

A rifle most commonly seen in Free Appalachia. Despite the PmQ-900's rustic and frail appearance, it has proven itself in the field multiple times. The design has spread like wildfire across the wastes, being picked up by both the USRF and Southern Union forces. Designated as the "SR-90 MOD 1" in the NEU, it is mostly seen in the hands of reserve and underfunded units. Members of the Southern Repatriates hailing from the Free Appalachian State tend to favor the use of this weapon due to their familiarity with the platform.

The catch-all "standard" variant of the Weaver platform, the Rattler is a service rifle originally designed in 2151 and put into service by the Great Lakes Coalition in 2155. Though antiquated in design, the rifle's magazine capacity and proprietary ammo type made it a reliable tool for defeating scrap body armor—a trait that allows it to serve the Gold Leaf Army well into the modern day. While not standard issue for any USRF units, the Rattler sees exhaustive use by the Northern Repatriates hailing from the GLA.

The AR-15's history can be traced back to 1957, when ArmaLite scaled down the AR-10 to chamber .223 Remington. Once a staple of American gun ownership, the AR-15's design has endured multiple trials by fire, seeing service in multiple conflicts around the globe for over a century. Nowadays, it's still popular as both a reliable assault rifle and a common find in the hands of wastelanders and other organizations, but most rifles have moved on from the .223/5.56x45 cartridges to .277 Fury or 6.8 NEU. Despite this, the AR-15 can still be found among USRF forces in limited numbers

An Australian version of the Steyr AUG (Armee-Universal-Gewehr), which was extensively modernized during the 21st Century. Around 2050, the weapon was widely exported to NATO countries, including the United States, resulting in it becoming the backbone of many Early Militia regiments during the twilight days of the NEU. Popular for its compact size that results in the weapon excelling in close quarters, the EF-90 is rumored to be the inspiration for the NEU's bullpup doctrine owing to its similarities to the SR-57.  The rifle also has a compact paratrooper variant, chambered in 9x19mm or 5.7x28mm NEU.

As small arms doctrine began shifting to higher penetration calibers such as .277, battle rifles would see a steady decline in popularity. The K59 stands as one of the last mass-produced battle rifles. Some claim it is an evolution of H&K's G3 rifle series, as both use extremely similar cartridges (.308 Win and 7.62 NATO). USRF servicemen can be seen fielding the K59 for its sleek design and punchy muzzle report, but many have moved on to assault rifles chambered in similar calibers.

Originally the standard battle rifle of the Mexican armed forces, the Chicxulub would be widely exported to Central American governments and militias. Stockpiles of these weapons would survive the Flash due to Mexico being relatively out of harm's way during the nuclear exchange, and it soon would be exported north to the Greater Texas Republic, which then exported the surplus to the Northeastern Union. The rifle's overengineered heat dispersion design means it's commonly seen in the hands of NEAF soldiers operating in hot climates.

Produced in post-Flash Russia, the FCA-64 weapon can be seen as a throwback to the old Russian Empire, since the trade corridor between the two continents is located in Alaska. In Free Alaska, the weapon is often exported to Canadian and American statelets, mostly the Northwestern Federation. Some of these weapons were captured by NEAF personnel in expeditions against Canadian militias up north, while others were purchased by soldiers through various trade outlets.

Adapted from the ArmaLite AR-15 series of rifles, the M16 is a relic that still sees service with the USRF. The A2 variant traces its roots back to the Vietnam War. After addressing the USMC's criticism of the A1 variant, the A2 would be adopted in 1983 with major improvements to the barrel and adjustable carry handle sights. Large stockpiles of the weapon surviving the nuclear fallout, coupled with readily accessible machinery and blueprints for reproduction of the rifle, meant that the M16 can still be seen in the hands of many USRF combat units. However, most prefer the SR-51 for its modularity and the stopping power offered by the 6.8mm.

The Garand is perhaps one of the most recognized guns in North America. Designed in 1924, it has seen service around the globe for two centuries, making its combat debut back in World War 2 in the hands of the United States Army. Compared to the standard bolt actions of the time, the Garand was revolutionary with its semi-automatic action and precision. It went on to see action in many more conflicts around the world in the hands of the United States Army, and to this day, the Garand is still produced by arms companies and independent gunsmiths. While it is meant for ceremonial use only in the USRF, some soldiers can be seen utilizing the rifle in active combat.

The AK-26 was designed by the Kalashnikov Concern in 2026 as a bid to incorporate caseless ammunition in the Russian Federation's armed forces. Instead of the classic 5.45x39mm, it uses the newly minted 7x41mm caseless cartridge, which offers enhanced ballistics and post-penetration damage to its target. However, many officers and soldiers found the rifle to be an outlier in terms of design. Unlike other AKs, it utilizes a top-fed magazine as opposed to the iconic banana magazines. During the 2030s, the rifle would be mass-produced and exported extensively to Russia's allies, but trade slowed down as the Russian Federation collapsed and warbands fought for control of its vast industrial areas.

A limited number of AK-26s managed to make their way into the USA pre-flash through both legal and illegal means, but thanks to the post-flash era trade between Eastern Russian nation states and their North American counterparts, like Free Alaska, a reasonable number of these firearms would trickle down to the Great Lakes region. Of course, the exotic ammunition meant that local ammo manufacturers and factions had to resort to lower-quality replicas of the original caseless ammo, resulting in cartridges that are less accurate than their original pre-flash version.

The origins of the R.I 9 can be traced all the way over to the West Coast. It is a revamped version of the pre-flash Heckler & Koch XM8 Objective Individual Combat Weapon (OICW) program, produced by the elusive Zelus Armaments & Biotechnics. In 2161, the rifle was brought over to the East Coast in an attempt to sell off surplus stocks. This move caught the eyes of Roginsky Industries, one of the Union's companies that specializes in heavy machinery and droid assembly. In true wasteland fashion, Roginsky Industries made carbon copy samples of the rifle and presented it to the USRF, only for the rifle to be rejected in favor of the SR-60. Despite this, some stocks of the rifle were still kept in NEAF arsenals and can be seen in the hands of soldiers from time to time. The designation SR-63 refers to the year 2163, when the rifle was first presented.

A rifle of Polish origin that was designed for the Polish Armed Forces to replace the AK-pattern FB Beryl firearm. The MSBS GROT's development began in 2007 by FB "Łucznik" Radom as part of the Modułowy System Broni Strzeleckiej (Modular Firearm System) program. The rifle would go on to be accepted by the Polish army and make waves around NATO countries and other international customers as a rival to the HK416. Both the United States and Canada would import a multitude of GROTs for both the military and civilian markets. sup sylwek

Contrary to popular belief, the United States Armed Forces never officially used the gun. It was one of many NATO weapons stockpiled to be sent or sold to allied countries in case a crisis arose amidst World War 3. Many of these stocks would survive the flash, and the guns would see combat in the hands of the major Unions, paramilitaries, and militias. The USRF still operates quite a handful of these guns in its many conflicts.

The bullpup configuration of the MSBS Grot rifle. Unlike most other rifles with bullpup variants, the B model shares the same universal receiver as the Grot A, making it easy to convert either model by swapping the lower receiver. Some suggest that the Grot B's design influenced the Northeastern Union's bullpup-pattern rifles, but these claims remain unconfirmed.

Designed back in the Cold War, the FN FAL is often called "the right arm of the free world" due to its ample usage by both NATO countries and many other states, having been exported far and wide through the first and third world alike. The design would go on to see over a hundred years of combat, ranging from the early African colonial wars to the very last days of World War 3 in the 2070s. The rifle has multiple variants and modifications, to the degree that the final amount is hard to count. 

One of the biggest users was the post-Flash Canadian Federation, having stockpiles of the weapon that would be issued to territorial defense and other second-hand units. The variant used by the Canadians was based on a licensed version of the American DSA SA-58, created by David Selvaggio Arms. The rifle was still in service with the Canadian military at the time of its capitulation in 2164, meaning that individual examples and stockpiles of the gun were ripe for the taking by the Northeast.

A well-known variant of the Viper series of rifle, the SOCOM is a short-barreled semi-automatic variant that fires the .308 Winchester cartridge. Due to the shorter barrel, it is not as accurate as Viper DMR or sniper models at longer distances, which makes the gun unpopular amongst Designated Marksmen and other sharpshooters. 

Contrary to popular belief, the rifle was never designed for nor used by any special forces unit. Instead, it's just clever marketing advertising the gun targeted towards contractors and tactically inclined civilians. However, some Northeastern soldiers can be seen using the weapon for security and combat duties due to its heavy stopping power.

The Advanced Modular Combat Weapon was previously one of the USMC's most well-regarded service weapons. Though it fell into disuse due to the rising popularity of successors that utilized more modern cartridges, many units remained in storage even long after the bombs fell. While most have long since become inoperable due to age, a rare handful of these rifles survive as historical artifacts and examples of the old world's engineering prowess.

Surviving examples of the rifle have earned the nickname 'relic' due to their pronounced rarity.

Produced by DESERT Nation alongside the likes of the Smith DES, the Frontliner DES is a weapons platform more modular than any firearms that come before it. Though most commonly seen in its Frontliner full-length rifle form, the weapon is suited to almost any combat role through its many variants. Though rarely done, the firearm's upper receiver can be quickly swapped in the field to adapt to a soldier's needs. Within the USRF, users are only ever given the Frontliner variant that befits their assigned role.

Designed to replace their aging stockpiles of rifles, the C11A1 is a post-Flash Canadian battle rifle design, intending to improve on the shortcomings of their old rifles. Improving upon aspects such as the cost of production and magazine size, it takes inspiration from other Canadian-designed rifles. Entering service before 2164, it saw use by Canadian troops serving in the defense of the Canadian Federation. Nowadays, the C11A1 sees most use with the Northern Repatriates, making use of their previous service rifles, or as a trophy gun for those in the rest of the USRF.

The machine gun variant of the SR-57 platform, retrofitted with a new gas system and barrel. The M57 SAW can dish out a higher volume of bullets without the risk of jamming or overheating the firearm thanks to the purpose-built gas system, but the new system increases the weapon's weight, making it too cumbersome for the average rifleman to carry around. M57s usually come with quad-stacked 65-round magazines, which can be known to induce feeding failures if not maintained properly due to their more complex design.

An ever-aging design, the Bren—otherwise known as the L4—is a light machine gun best known for its usage in World War II, the Korean War, and a number of other conflicts throughout the 20th century. While the original design has long since been depreciated, the iconic top-mounted box magazine and wooden furniture remain guaranteed staples of many wasteland reproductions, especially among Canadian militias that sought to arm themselves against the USRF in the brief NEU-Canadian war. With several guns taken as trophies, the Bren sees limited use by the Northern Repatriates.

While stylistically closer to far older weapons than the USRF usually fields, the Weaver nonetheless sees active service throughout the Northern Repatriates, as many of their machine gunners were issued the weapon prior to joining the USRF.

As the name implies, Bootleggers are illegally produced light machine guns using mismatched gun parts and crude machining. Notorious among the ranks of USRF Gendarmerie Nationale, the Bootlegger is very closely associated with anti-NEU movements, both at home and abroad. It is believed to have been made by Quebecois insurgents during the Canadian occupation, and evidence points to deliberate training and material assistance from various anti-NEU groups such as Free Halifax and the SDLF. Nonetheless, the Bootlegger sees an ironic volume of service in the USRF itself, often in the hands of units too poorly funded to field anything more proper.

A light machine gun that the Quebecois and Southerners both claim as their own. The "Trench Mauler" is complete with faux-wood furnishing, a version actively in use by the SU. A few hundred of these machine guns have been captured by USRF in the Southern Theater, leading to them becoming readily available in the hands of NEU machine gunners. It is in limited service with the Lakeside Division.

Similar in design to the Trench Mauler, the "Northern Insurgent" is complete with polymer furnishing and an extended barrel compared to its southern counterpart. It sees widespread use by Quebecois insurgents, and a stockpile of these weapons has been captured during the two Canadian Wars. Many machine gunners within the Lakeside Division find themselves being issued the Northern Insurgent in place of the M57 or SR-60B due to logistical shortcomings and lack of funding.

The FCA-64B, or "RP," is the light machine gun variant of the FCA-64 rifle. It is heavier and features a longer, thicker chrome-lined barrel that helps maintain sustained fire without loss of accuracy from the barrel heating up. The weapon is considered to be RPK-16's distant, wasteland cousin. The USRF has acquired some of these machine guns, but they're far rarer and a bit costlier than standard autogunner platforms due to the weapon's parts proving expensive to manufacture.

The designated marksman rifle version of the SR-57 bullpup rifle. The longer barrel increases bullet muzzle velocity, giving it a longer range and more accuracy. The DMR-57 uses the same Mod4 lower receiver as a regular SR-57, meaning that it can still fire fully automatic. Some marksmen call it a "panic mode" in case hostiles close in unexpectedly, but the longer barrel also means increased recoil, making the rifle difficult to control in full auto fire.

A direct upgrade to the DMR-57, the SR-60C is known for its improved accuracy and resistance to jams thanks to the precision machining in the manufacturing process of the platform. A majority of parts in the SR-60C are compatible with regular SR-60A assault rifles, making for ease of repairs or retrofits according to a platoon's needs. It quickly became a favorite in USRF units, with the only complaint being its bulkier frame.

The Overwatch variant of the SR-60 is the first modular NEU firearm design that is able to be upgunned from its standard variant. It is considered to be the first true sniper rifle coming from the modular program, featuring an extended magwell to accommodate the .300 MM cartridge and a robust alloy steel barrel. The SR-60D is often paired with the UALC-1 IR imagery scope and can often be seen in the hands of the most deadly snipers within the USRF.

A once-popular Canadian-produced hunting rifle that remains widely used post-Flash as a result of stockpiles being sold off in a variety of markets. A good number of Strata 70s were taken as trophies by USRF soldiers amidst the two NEU-Canadian wars, and the rifle has since found uncommon use amongst the USRF's ranks, especially by Northern Repatriates who are often experienced with the rifle. Cheaper, often more damaged Strata 70s also commonly find themselves in the hands of neglected units such as the Green Rifles.

Rechambered in a specialized caliber compared to the standard Weaver platform, the Hunter trades the capabilities of a high-capacity magazine and the firepower of automatic fire to serve as a marksman platform. Whether the rifle is fitted with a scope or not, the specialized 7.92mm rounds it uses ensure that shots are far more accurate than those from a standard Weaver. The Hunter has been hailed as a reliable choice of rifle across the Great Lakes Coalition. The USRF's Northern Repatriates make frequent usage of the Hunter as a result of being previously issued the weapon, or taking it as a trophy during the short-lived NEU-Canadian wars.

The Sparo is a popular bolt-action rifle that was produced in large numbers during the pre-flash days. Reproductions are still being built to this day, allowing the Sparo to solidify itself as the gun for the people. However, its popularity did not stop some from criticizing it for the varying build quality between firearms and the inaccuracy at larger ranges, and some attribute it to being a budget rifle to give those who can't afford a higher spec firearm a chance at self-defense.

A competition bolt-action rifle originating from Finland. Known for its revolutionary design and modularity, ranging from the finish of the weapon to the caliber it fires, the Kärki solidified itself as a prized rifle within America. After the end of World War 3, the rifle can still be seen in the hands of sharpshooters and hunters alike. Some USRF snipers can be seen using the old Finnish rifle in limited numbers as well, praising it for its accuracy.

A conversion of the famous World War 2 Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk1 originating in the United Kingdom during the 1970s. In the wastes, stocks of Canadian Enfield rifles were found during the early 22nd Century, and many more would be reproduced in workshops and a few dedicated production facilities. Despite its age, the Enfield is a cheap rifle that is easy to use, which is likely the cause of its popularity in the North. During the NEAF incursions in the Northern territories, a few stocks of the gun were captured from Canadian forces and militias, being used mostly by Northern Repatriates snipers.

A Turkish marksman rifle made during World War 3, imported far and wide to both NATO-aligned countries and their enemies. The Iblis would be beloved by both sides thanks to its accuracy and easy maintenance, and it is among the many weapons that found themselves in NATO's emergency weapon stockpile before nuclear armageddon. The USRF sports a number of these rifles chambered in .277 Fury.

Captured during the NEU's campaign in Roanoke and the ongoing Southern war, the Condor is one of the SU's unofficial marksman rifles sporting the powerful .45-70 cartridge in a revolver configuration. The designer of the firearm is unknown, but it received mixed feelings from servicemen on both sides. Some praise the cartridge's damage capability while others criticize the inaccuracy and high recoil when firing consecutive rounds. Due to a lack of a steady supply for the .45-70, the Condor rarely sees use within USRF's northern echelons.

A rifle designed for tackling the most dangerous game possible in a desolate wasteland, the Elkstalker is chambered in the powerful and widespread .50 BMG. It is designed as a single-shot bolt-action weapon with a linked reciprocating barrel to mitigate recoil and simplify the action of reloading. Though the rugged sniper rifle pales in comparison to its modern counterparts chambered in a similar caliber, its reliability in the field and complete inability to conventionally jam ensure it remains in active usage by USRF snipers in poorer units.

The .338 Lapua Magnum variant of the ASR platform. It is a pre-Flash rifle used by the US military and its NATO allies, quickly gaining popularity among sniper units for its efficiency. Nowadays, some can be seen in use by USRF snipers, but most are being phased out in favor of the SR-60D, as logistics for the latter are easier thanks to parts interoperability.

Also known as "ASR Prime", the ASR-50 is the .50 BMG variant of the ASR platform. It has gained infamy during the course of World War 3 for its accuracy, devastating caliber, and extensive use by NATO sniper units. The rifle is able to shoot through the engine block of lightly armored vehicles and pierce the light side armor of APCs, depending on ammunition. It is often the go-to weapon for heavy snipers in the USRF.

The L1 is a pre-Flash weapon from Canada, often regarded as a development of the Accuracy International AWM chambered in .300 Win Mag. It originated from a bid from the Canadian Emergency Response Team to have a rifle lighter than the C14 Timberwolf currently in service, and some versions of the L1 were later exported to the US as sporting rifles. Units of the Canadian Armed Forces also issued the rifle to their snipers during World War 3. Surviving stockpiles of the L1 and a few intact local factories meant that its production continued post-flash under the new Canadian government. Caches of the weapon were acquired by the USRF during its NEU-Canadian wars, and some were given to snipers within the NEAF's ranks.

With the post-Flash success of the L1, socialist forces in the south sought to capitalize on its success and make their own version for their armed forces. The crux of the matter was that the SU lacked the machinery and technology to retrofit and field large bulks of pre-flash stocks, and the SU military command wanted to make a rifle that was cheap and could be made with inexpensive, abundant resources. Designated the "L1-SU" by USRF, the production of the rifle was somewhat successful, being accurate and cheaper compared to its original counterpart. However, there are notable reliability issues with the gun due to rushed production and the cheap materials it was made of. Early in the 2140s, corrupt southern officials were charged with selling the weapon's blueprints to wasteland black markets.  Combined with samples of the L1-SU being smuggled out of the SU into the wastes, the weapon would soon be manufactured by many gunsmiths and independent settlements alike.

The Bravo model of the Stovepiper rifle is a designated marksman version of the standard issue SR-51, featuring a heavier and lengthened barrel and a thumbhole stock for improved comfort in stationary firing positions. The weapon is even more prone to the stovepipe jam due to the extended gas block, leading to marksmen sporting this rifle rarely opting to fire rounds in quick succession.

The Grot-A Marksman mod, also known as Grot Snajper, is the DMR variant of the standard Grot rifle chambered in .308 Winchester. This variant was requested by the Polish army to be a complementary sharpshooter rifle capable of being modular with the MSBS pattern of rifles. The overlap of parts used in this version and the standard Grot greatly simplified logistics and weapons repair.
