Series classed together

Some series of scores and books are classed together

• Each separate volume of the series has the same call number with the volume number as the last element.

  • Examples

    • Bach perspectives (book): ML410.B11 B1185 v.2

    • Recent researches in the music of the Baroque era (score): M2 .R295 v.92

• Most series classed together at Sibley are M2 scores.  The call number is indicated on the Acquisitions slip.

• Occasionally a monographic book series will be classed together. They may arrive with a call number slip from Acquisitions, but they may not.  A list of such series is below. As more are discovered or created they will be added to the list.
