例えば光そのものと、光を透過する金属製の 網が成す造形に境界線はあるのだろうか。 日頃のそうした興味への思考から、 Invisible Line(見えない線)なる作品へ展開させた。

For example, is there a boundary between light itself and the form created by a metal mesh that transmits light? It was from such everyday curiosities that I developed the work titled Invisible Line.

2022年におこなった新潟の築110年古民家での企画個展の際、広い会場に対し、着彩した和紙をインスタレーションとして多量に並べる作品を企図し、その際にprintという技法を用いました。 試作や思索をも含めその前年2021年から取り組んでいたその技法は、個展終了後もすっかり嵌ることとなり、また「刷る」というシンプルな行為のなかで、「刷る」ことそのものをより追求したいと現在に至ってます。 和紙に染料インクで刷り、アクリル系の透明塗料を仕上げ＆作品保護剤として使っています。

In 2022, when I organised a solo exhibition in a 110-year-old Japanese house in Niigata, I planned an installation using a large quantity of my coloured Japanese paper as material, and used the technique of ‘printing’. This technique, which I have been working on since the previous year, including prototypes, has continued after that solo exhibition, but I have now come to the point where I want to pursue the simple act of ‘printing’ itself. I print on Japanese paper with dye ink and use acrylic-based transparent paint as a finish and protective coating for my works.

新潟県長岡市生まれ。同地在住。
1988年ギャラリープロムナード（長岡市）で初個展。翌1989年、新潟県下の現代美術系作家約30人を集結させた企画「新潟・いま・表現“マグニチュード”」展(新潟市美術館)に参加出展。以降 個展や現代美術系の展覧会を中心に発表。主な個展として、ギャルリ伝・FLOOR2（東京・世田谷）、ウィリアムモリス（東京・渋谷）、新潟絵屋（新潟市）など。
2021年からprintを軸にした表現を始める。2024年からSeed Stories展に参加、Gallery MIRAI blanc（東京・大森）にて定期的に新作を発表。

Born in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture. Lives and works in the same area.
First solo exhibition at Gallery Promenade, Nagaoka,
1988.
In
1989, participated in the exhibition ‘Niigata, Now, Expression “Magnitude”’ (Niigata City Art Museum), which brought together about 30 contemporary artists from Niigata Prefecture. Since then, she has exhibited mainly in solo exhibitions and contemporary art exhibitions. Major solo exhibitions include Galerie Den FLOOR2 (Setagaya, Tokyo), William Morris (Shibuya, Tokyo) and Niigata Eya (Niigata City).
2021 Shifted to print-based expression and began producing print works. From
2024, I will participate in the Seed Stories project and regularly exhibit my new works at Gallery MIRAI blanc (Oomori, Tokyo).
