Turtle Watch Rest Stop

A bench overlooks a downed tree that extends out into the lake. Turtles enjoy sunning on the downed tree; sometimes it is covered with turtles.  The turtles will hear you coming and slip into the water but, if you sit quietly for few minutes, they will climb back onto the tree. The bench and the one at the Meadow Loop Rest Stop were made by Tom Hamilton, a past resident, in the Salemtowne Wood Shop.
