TRAIL MAP: Hillside Pond Loop Trail
The Hillside Pond Loop Trail runs north from beside the Community Gardens on an old service road to and loops around the Hillside Pond, a sediment retention pond that was created during the building of the Bethabara Place cottages in the early 2000s. The pond no longer retains water but the piping is there.
POINTS OF INTEREST
A remaining section of the old perimeter fence that once separated Salemtowne from the old Babcock property can be seen along the eastern side of the road.
At the point where the trail is intersected by the Muir Trail, a plastic, green mesh has been laid on the trail to help prevent slipping on wet ground.
