From the Community Center flag poles if you look north up Moravian Way Drive to the left/west side of its intersection with Salemtowne Drive there is a grassy area with scattered trees. Behind the trees is a grassy ridge with two beehives standing on the ridgeline. Further north along the ridgeline there are some cedar trees. This is the highest point in Salemtowne at an elevation of 922 feet.
The elevation along the ridgeline on the south side of Salemtowne along Indiana Avenue is 910 feet.
The ridgeline along the eastern side of Salemtowne alongside University Parkway is 900 feet.
The elevation along the north side of Salemtowne varies between 800 and 900 feet.
The highest elevation on any street, sidewalk, or trail in Salemtowne is 910 feet at the crest of Moravian Way Drive near the entrance to Breslau Drive.

The highest point in Forsyth County is north of Salemtowne near King at 1,110 feet. Closer to Salemtowne is Baux Mountain at 1,008 feet.

The lowest area in Salemtowne is along the creek below the Babcock Lake dam at about 800 feet.
At the point where the creek goes under Bethabara Park Boulevard, the elevation is about 770 feet.
