A little of Salemtowne's history
Moravian Homes, Incorporated (doing business as Salemtowne) is a Life Plan/Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in the rolling hills of northern Forsyth County near the historic Moravian communities of Bethabara and Bethania on 119 acres of rolling hills that was a part of the original Wachovia tract of land settled by some of the first Moravians in North Carolina. However, Salemtowne has not always been at this location; it had its beginning in 1887, six miles away in the early town of Salem.
