Zinzendorf Park Garden

Neglected but not forgotten

This garden is located on the Zinzendorf Park Trail near the top of the hill, just past the gazebo. From the top of the hill, you have an overview of most of the eastern side of the campus. The garden still exists but it is not like it was in its glory days before 2017 when most of the park was destroyed by the construction of Babcock Drive, but is a nice place to relax and think pleasant thoughts of past times.

The garden is on the south side of the trail next to Indiana Avenue. A short stone path leads to a bench swing that overlooks a small pond that is surrounded by stones and colorful vegetation. The wood bench swing was donated by a past resident, Aldine Ebert, in memory of his wife, Rebbeca Gardner Ebert. Aldine also donated many of the white benches you see alongside sidewalks around the campus.
