Please note that all homework must be done in a timely manner. If work is not received at the time indicated, it will be considered late and the Four Strike Policy will apply.
Finally, there's this: Attendance and Timeliness Policy.
Homework 1 (due 3/25):
Read pp. 580-585 in Psychology (Peter Gray) on handout or here
Answer questions 19-25 in journal
Be ready to discuss in class
Homework 2 (due 4/3):
Answer the questions on this worksheet: What Would Carl Rogers Think of School One?
Homework 3 (due 4/10):
Answer the questions in Maslow Scenarios (on the handout itself, unless you were absent 4/8)
Be ready to share in class.
Homework 4 (due 5/1) "SEED OF ME":
Construct a 'seed packet' (either an illustration or an actual constructed packet) with an image on the front. This could be a baby picture, a drawing, a collage, or anything you like, but there's no text other than either your name and a title for your "Seed of Me" packet.
The back side will have text: instructions for growing 'you' (MINIMUM OF SIX INSTRUCTIONS)
Think about what you need to be your best, most actualized 'you.' Think about what might inhibit your growth (e.g. the way some plants must be kept out of direct sunlight). Feel free to consider Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs as a framework or jumping off point for your instructions.
Be ready to share on Wednesday. Those who do not have their work will need to present it before the whole class on Monday.
Homework 5 (due 5/6):
Read pp. 605-612, "Mental Disorders" in Psychology (Peter Gray) on handout or below.
