College Articles Application Advice

For some good advice about what not to do when emailing an admissions officer, go to https://tuadmissionjeff.blogspot.com/2012/09/five-e-mails-you-should-never-send.html. It's a little Tulane specific, but the advice is good for any college: write as if you were writing an essay, have a professional looking email address, don't have your parent write it, don't ask things you could easily find on the website, keep questions short and specific. The one thing I don't suggest is having parents email with questions: most admissions officers think less of students who can't solve their own problems.
