General Meeting Notes – Dec 8

Of the Weeks 

• Community members: Maddie and Kai for spearheading a yard swap.

• Nerds: Ollie F for kicking butt in Lit Genres

• Jocks: Cold weather walkers! 

• Artists: August for drawing a comic cover that was so good it will be part of a presentation at the Massachusetts Comic Expo.

Holiday R-day

• Fri, December 19 - last day before break - half day! Pick up at 12:45

• Hot chocolate in the morning, music performance “Coffee House”

  • Want to share your talents? Find a teacher

• Activities: gingerbread houses, movie, Satan vs Santa, etc

• Pizza lunch and treats – please bring treats!!! 

• Community service hours available for setup (Thursday afternoon at 3:00) and clean up (after the R-day is finished)

Satan vs Santa

• A traditional School One trivia game (sort of like Jeopardy)

• Teams of three (or fewer, but 3 are recommended)

  • ... If you want to win, find people who have different knowledge

• Sign up sheet on the board outside of Oz

• Prizes… and infamy

Lunch time today: 

• Open forum to improve community and learn about student leadership

Advising this week

• A survey about SEL (social emotional learning)

• It’s required, but it’s not anonymous (Kye sees the data and only shares on a need to know basis)

• Humanities comp passers: Nyx and Fin M!!

• College acceptances: Adam, Sienna!!

• History Help tomorrow – mandatory if you haven’t passed section 6 (US History)

• Senior essay deadline: this Thursday

Christopher

• Email went out to all parents about vaping

Yearbook portraits this week!

• Tomorrow in advising: basement and 1st floor advising groups

• Friday in advising: upstairs advising groups

• If you miss them, talk to a yearbook person

Crochet Club

• You can learn, no experience needed

• Mostly likely on Mondays
