Juniors: It would be smart to read at least many of these articles before beginning your college essay in the spring of your junior year (with the first draft due before April vacation).

Senior Essay Assignment/Topics for Current Juniors Spring 25 and for 25-6 seniors.

The topics for '24/'25 juniors are usually announced in late February and sometimes stay the same.

You shouldn't write your main college essay about the lockdown, but you can use the additional question about it on the Common App. to do so if your experience was quite different from others'. Beware of using this if others' experiences would have been tougher.
