Write a minimum of a four paragraph essay on the decision to use the Atomic Bomb in WWII. In this essay, explain what the options are for President Truman. You must choose one of the options available to President Truman in July 1945. Your essay must defend your choice and convince Truman of why your option is the best choice. Final Essay: This essay should follow Humanities Department rules: minimum 4 paragraphs, 6-8 sentences per paragraph, correct grammar. Please write an analysis of the response of President Kennedy to the discovery of the Soviet Missiles on Cuba. He had several options that he could use to react to the crisis. Analyze his actions and responses to the information that he was given, and the advice that he received from the Executive Committee. How do you think he did? Would you have done anything different? What was at stake during the crisis? What was at stake for history or how did this crisis affect the world after it was over and for all time? This is due Wednesday May 25, 2022.
Final credit deadline for all assignments for third trimester is Wednesday June 1, 2022 without exception...you need to have completed all assignments in order to earn credit in this class...see Erin if you need help on any assignment.

Please also look over the Cuban Missile Crisis Timeline that is also in the folder...you may want to have this document open and available when we discuss this event next week in class. There are no questions for this article but you will need it to complete the next essay assignment. You will be assigned this essay next week.
Due Friday May 22, 2020: Cuban Missile Crisis Essay: In a thoughtful and well written essay of 5 paragraphs, please discuss and advise the President of which Option he should choose to end the Crisis. Option I is to perform an Airstrike and Invade Cuba, Option II is to Blockade Cuba and Option III is to use Diplomacy to resolve he Crisis.
Outline of Essay:
Paragraph One: Introduce the Crisis and all that is happening and what options the President has to resolve the Crisis.
Paragraph Two- Paragraph Four : Outline the pros and cons of each option the President can decide to use to resolve the Crisis
Final Paragraph is for you to present which Option is the best and why the President should choose your option suggestion.
