Mentors: Connect with experienced Fidelity Mentors for guidance and inspiration.
College Success Coaches: Get support with navigating the college campus, coursework, and your scholarship.
The Scholarship: Bachelor’s degree recipients may be funded for up-to four years of study. As a need-based scholarship, the amount of financial support provided will depend on the cost of attendance determined by the in-state college or university iwhich you are enrolling. This is a last-dollar approach. That means your scholarship funds will only be applied after your family contribution and all other financial aid sources have been granted, greatly reducing the need for you to take out loans and incur educational debt related to the cost of attendance. Last year, the Fidelity Scholars Program awarded more than $2.85 million scholarships to 200 students.
Eligibility: The program is open to historically under-resourced and underrepresented students who are permanent residents of Colorado, the District of Columbia, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island and Texas.
• 2.5 - 3.5 unweighted GPA or GED
• Pell eligible and/or demonstrate financial need
• Attend an in-state college or university

The scholarship is part of our Carter Roger Williams Initiative, conceived of and funded by philanthropists Letitia and the late John Carter and managed by the Rhode Island Foundation.
Rhode Island founder Roger Williams was a remarkable man. He came from a very modest background, and access to education was key in shaping his character, beliefs, and actions throughout his life. We believe that many of his values are more relevant than ever.

The DEADLINE for students to apply for the Transform RI Scholarship is fast approaching - MARCH 31, 2024. We will have a visit to discuss this scholarship on March 22, 2024 during advising.
The 2024 Transform RI Scholarship (TRIS) is a unique opportunity for RI’s high school students to use their voice and share their ideas to create real change. The Papitto Opportunity Connection will invest $1 million to make the winning idea become a reality and TEN TRIS finalists will be awarded scholarships worth between $5,000-$25,000. As an added incentive, the school with the most TRIS entries will split a $5,000 prize, half to be designated for students to use towards Prom and $2,500 will be awarded to the faculty. RI high school students must simply answer the question: If you had a million dollars to improve the lives of those who need it most in Rhode Island, how would you do it?
TRIS is open to ALL high school students in RI. Students can submit an essay, video, or multimedia presentation.
