Kansas City Rub

I consider this to be the gold standard of dry rubs. It was one of the first rubs I used and while I've tried others, I keep coming back to this one as the sugar and peppers make it perfect for pork.

  • ½ cup brown sugar.

  • ¼ cup Paprika

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tbsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp kosher salt

  • 1 tbsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp chili powder
