2 tbsp oil
1 pound thinly sliced steak
2 tbsp cornstarch
4 cups mixed vegetables
3 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
⅓ cup orange juice
⅓ cup water
¼ cup soy sauce
3 tbsp brown suagr
1½ tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cornstarch
Combine sauce ingredients except for corn starch, and set aside
Season meat in salt and pepper, then toss with cornstarch.
Heat oil in a frying pan and add seasoned meat. Fry on each side for a couple minutes, then remove from pan
Add vegetables to pan and cook until tender. Remove from pan and set aside with meat
turn heat up on frying pan a bit and add sauce, bring to a simmer.
Combine the cornstarch with a few tablespoons of water and mix to blend. When blended, add to sauce
Whisk sauce while cooking until desired consistency is acquired.
Add meat and vegetables to sauce mixture and cook for a few minutes longer
Serve over rice, or alongside noodles.
