Members of the GCSF operate under teams. They, along with the individuals that make up the teams, are the bread and butter of this entire operation! Where would we be without them?
And whether you're a prospective member or already settled into Ethovalon, there are a few things you'll need to know about how teams work around here! Check out the benefits for increasing your team rank, and how to recruit new members!
All teams begin at Rookie Rank and can slowly climb their way all the way to Master Rank! Ranking up is a representation of your team's experience as they explore the world with the GCSF and grow as an adventuring band.
There are 8 total ranks for your team to achieve, with the first one being Rookie -- the default rank for a team with 0 Rank Points.
As you earn Rank Points, your team will start to rise in the ranks! Depending on what rank the team is currently at, you may also be entitled to certain perks that involve unlocking the ability to have special recruits or even start your next team!
There are a few different ways to rank up your team! Check the guild's Missions and Job Board for more details!
Rookie | 0 - 2 RP
Bronze | 3 - 5 RP
Silver | 6 - 8 RP
Gold | 9 - 11 RP
You will be able to create your second team once your team leader(s) has reached Level 100!
* In order to create your third and fourth team, you will need to get your new team(s) to Gold Rank and have the leader(s) reach Lvl. 100 as well!
Platinum | 12 - 14 RP
You can now buy Paradox Recruit Slots and recruit them from certain dungeons! These slots are 15,000p per slot!
Diamond | 15 - 17 RP
You can now buy Mythical Recruit Slots! These slots are 50,000p per slot!
Ace | 18 - 20 RP
Master | 21+ RP
Recruits are the members of your team that come after your leaders! They make up the majority of your team, and there wouldn't really be much of a guild without 'em, now would there?
This section will explain the process of getting new characters, the ways you can find them, and how to get your application ready for approval!
A team can have a total of 25 regular recruits, each taking up their own slot on the team. To start adding new characters to your team, you must first have open Recruit Slots. The first set of recruit slots can be purchased for 2,000p at the Ethovalon Shops!
After completing a Mystery Dungeon, your team is guaranteed to encounter one of the recruitable Pokemon found in the dungeon. The recruit is shown in the Dungeon Grader, but it will also be reflected in the public gallery after submitting!
Alternatively, you may come by a Recruit Token for completing a mission or maybe by getting lucky in a dungeon or with a treasure box. Recruit Tokens are items that can be used to roll for a randomized recruit, rolling only from a list of regular recruits that can be obtained -- if you can find them in a dungeon below Level 80 or 90, then you can roll them on a token.
To add a recruit to the team, you will have to make a post in #inventory to declare you wish to add a Pokemon to the team that encountered them. If the recruit was encountered in a dungeon, you link your team's results in the public gallery with the recruit. You also do this if you rolled a recruit token directly on the grader before submitting.
If you rolled a recruit token in #inventory, then you must link to the message with the token's result!
Following the Character Creation rules and guidelines, you create an application for them and submit it via #submit-a-ticket's Character Submission option when you are ready.
Recruit applications do not require the level of detail that leader applications have in terms of personality or history, but they still require all sections filled in! Be sure to review the character creation guidelines if you need a refresher on how to make characters for the group!
The visual application for a recruit uses the single application template. The written application must be completed, but it does not need to be as extensive as your leader's!
When submitting an application to the DeviantART gallery, submit them to the Recruits Apps folder!

Through your accomplishments, it seems like you've attracted the attention of a very special Pokemon! Though they are not often encountered across the Great Ocean, Mythical Pokemon are available to recruit once you've proven yourself to the guild!
... and once you have the coin, of course.
✦ Mythical are considered exotic and rare, but they are not one-of-a-kind! There are multiple of each Mythical Pokemon, having arrived on Kala Island some time in the past. Though it is highly unlikely that any old person has met a Mythical Pokemon before, it is not impossible for this to have happened.
✦ Mythical Pokemon are generally considered tough and extraordinary in some way, but the reality is that they are not any more or less powerful than a regular Pokemon! A Mythical's signature move may give them a slight edge, but feats that they may be capable of in other parts of the series do not apply! (i.e. Hoopa can't move massive structures like buildings, Mew is not an ancient god nor can they read minds or control others, etc.)
✦ The rules against godmodding or powerplaying apply to these characters just as they would for any others!
✦ Mythical recruits may have Potions and/or Juices applied to them like any other recruit!
✦ Mythical recruits take up their own slots on the team, separate from the other team members. They cannot be promoted to team leaders.
✦ You must purchase a Mythical Recruit Slot (50,000p) in order to create a Mythical character, which becomes available once your team reaches Diamond Rank.
✦ Purchasing a slot immediately gives you the ability to make a Mythical character. You do not have to go into a dungeon to recruit them (though you can still include a dungeon as part of their backstory despite this)!
✦ Teams may have a maximum of 2 Mythical recruits.
✦ A Mythical recruit can be dismissed at any time at no additional cost. However, if you wish to recruit a new Mythical after that, you will have to purchase the Mythical Recruit Slot once more.
✧ Arceus, though considered Mythical, is not available!
✦ Whenever new Mythical Pokemon are released, they will eventually be added to this list once the server lifts its spoiler policy for new content!

With the exploration of the Flying Islands complete, a number of strange Pokemon have made themselves known. The Pokemon who have settled in and around the Oracle's Summit and Forsaken Mountain look as though they aren't even from this era.
Some bear a striking resemblance to records of the ancient past while others seem reminiscent of the distant future.Could this have been Tempo the Dialga's doing? Or perhaps they've always been here...
✦ Paradox Pokemon are rarely spotted outside of the Oracle's Summit and Forsaken Mountain dungeons, both of which are located on the Flying Islands. As far as the GCSF and the other explorers guilds are aware, the Flying Islands are the only place where you can find Paradox Pokemon in abundance across the known map of the Great Ocean. (That said, it's not impossible and you are free to describe your characters origins regardless of this!)
✦ Paradox characters are not any stronger nor any weaker than a regular recruit. Though their circumstances may seem bizarre and unusual, keep in mind that the rules against godmodding or powerplaying apply to these characters just as they would for any others!
✦ Paradox recruits may have Potions and/or Juices applied to them like any other recruit!
✦ Paradox Pokemon are not the same as a recruit using a Paradox Potion, a Potion that allows for a design that is inspired by official Paradox Pokemon! Only official Paradox Pokemon are counted as Paradox characters in the group!
✦ Paradox recruits take up their own slots on the team, separate from the other team members. They cannot be promoted to team leaders.
✦ You must purchase a Paradox Recruit Slot (15,000p) in order to create a Paradox character, which becomes available once your team reaches Platinum Rank.
✦ Purchasing the slot gives you the ability to complete Legendary (90+) dungeons with recruitable Paradox Pokemon. However, unlike Mythical recruits, you do have to find a Paradox Pokemon in a dungeon to recruit them!
✦ Teams may have a maximum of 3 Paradox recruits.
✦ A Paradox recruit can be dismissed at any time at no additional cost, much like a regular recruit.
✧ Any Paradox Pokemon that is considered Legendary or that is based off of an existing Legendary Pokemon may not be encountered nor recruited!
✦ Whenever new non-Legendary Paradox Pokemon are released, they will eventually be added to this list once the server lifts its spoiler policy for new content!
