Waiheke Island's park and bridlepath development could well be a standard for us all to attempt to replicate elsewhere.
There is also a Regional Park - Whakanewha - on the Island that has good bridlepaths, and the local Pony Club\Adult Ride seem to have a good working relationship with the park rangers.
