Help build this site with your local knowledge!
We list public horse riding spaces - horse trails, shared trails, bridleways and parks - bringing information from DOC, Local and Regional Councils and local riders into a single website.
Find where to ride your horse using our map. Categorised by type, each location links back to the listing so you can read all the details
What is a bridleway?
Bridleway, bridlepath, greenway, trail, shared path... call it what you like, a bridleway is any route, trail or path that provides off road transport for horses, and other non-motorised travellers read more...
Local information about places to ride is invaluable. Official information frequently does not provide the detail we riders need.
Is the parking good? Is it separate from general public parking? Do you need to be confident reversing a float?
Where is it, exactly? Give a street address for the entrance or parking if possible.
What are the horse trail surfaces like? Will a barefoot horse cope? Will a green horse cope?
Use our online forms above to add new places to this website, or correct something we have wrong.
